That Night Lords kit would be a great way to add something that looks like artificer armour sergeants, due to all the embellishments. Heck, you could use some of the models for command squad. Edit. Is that helmet at Asmodai’s feet the future DA MK3 upgrade head?

From the review videos I have watch LI is going to be awesome. It is very similar to Epic2e (best version of the game imho) with better minis. Epic was my favourite game back in the day. I’m resisting buying it but I’m not sure my resolve will last.

Minor complaint and i wasnt getting my hopes up too high but the assault marines chest plates being optional would have been so good. The poses are great and would have made perfect despoiler squads or even mixed in with tactical squads for variety. That being said they are awesome. Im hoping that night lord kit is available outside of buying with the legionary squad, I dont think they sold the other chaos kill team upgrade kit seperately?

I reckon using some of the legs from this kit, and either 3D printed or Legion specific torsos, will be the way to go for Despoilers.

There are some photos going around showing LI tactical marines with serious sculpting issues, notably arms and guns melded together in a sort of cube. It looks absolutely horrendous. If you look very closely in the official photos you can see it. I'm not sure if this is a prototype error but if it's real GW have seriously dropped the ball considering the quality of 3d printed Epic miniatures. For what it's worth, I hope you enjoy LI.

The queue is automatic and set to a low threshold (plus they re-released the Christmas battleforces I noticed which is probably why the queue is there....) Whilst the starter box is selling well, everything else is easily available everywhere else. It's dead on arrival because they priced it so highly. Maybe people think they can just punt a game with just the starter.

why are you talking about points? But yes, way too high. Epic should be more or less a full game in a box. That's the point isn't it? These aren't models to "paint for pleasure" - they're overt wound markers. You should be comparing it to OTHER EPIC GAMES - specifically Warlord Game's EPIC range. (Pleasure don't try comparing it to resin epic games, resin is more expensive than plastic). Warlord Games is what you should be looking at.~ They only fair point there is the rulebook, books are expensive to build these days + China is collapsing as we speak and I don't know if GW were smart enough to pull out of there yet. @@blackbriargaming5483

Honestly I think, as they are, the models with the CSM bodies are good for early heresy.

Oh dear lol. the reason the queue was there was because GW re-stocked the CHRISTMAS BATTLEFORCES - which have already sold out again though there are some boxes still there, Orks one I note hasn't sold out yet like last time. The basers and Legion starter box is temp sold out: everything else is in stock. And not selling judging from third party stores. People aren't spending £30 on what amounts to 8 28mm models. GW killed it. Such a shame because it looks great, but realistically the price is just too damn high for what little you get. Even the starter set amounts to 18-24 28 mm models + 2 ogre sized titans. Comes a point where you have to take a stand. GW can come to their senses and repack everything into CHEAP affordable boxed sets the way Epic is meant to be, otherwise this game will die.

Yeah some of the LGS have - but how many were they given in the first place? 10? Probably 10 boxes... I see at least one of the LGSs that sold out already has about 70 of each kit incoming (cause they actually tell you) - whilst the big beast LGS which get much more stock than the rest are mostly still in stock with everything.@@impguardwarhamer

These guys are outstanding. Ill be picking some up to convert into Night Raptors. If it works well, I might even add an extra squad.

I got my box order from my local LGS in! Also snagged the cards from GW direct, which disappeared very quickly. While the starter box is still fairly widely available, each site I’ve checked has some number of sold out kits so I think it’s doing alright. In particular the sector terrain box looks to have mostly gone. In any case, I think the price point is fine. I’m excited even though I don’t expect to be ready to play for a few months 😆

The assault squad only have right arm chains and left bolters ..the combat shields will work if you creep some 3rd party pieces in there

Night Lords look REALLY good with CSM as long as you're willing to get rid of the actual chaos stars and eyes of horus, the Jagged spikes carved into the armor really fits their aesthetic, and the hanging trophies look so good.. I have them sprinkled throughout my Night Lords as Sargeants and Veterans. The Chainswords from the kit also are REALLY good for differentiating "chainswords" from "Chainblades" so all of my units with chainblades use CSM chainswords specifically because they just look so much more brutal and nasty. Up close they might look a tad bit chaos-y, but from 6 feet up at the table, I've never gotten any negative comments on them, but plenty of compliments

in fact, before the assault squad, my recommendation for any traitor legion for getting chainswords was to get the csm kit, use the chainswords for your assaults and despoilers, then use the bolter'd up chaos marines as squad sargents after you've shaved off the most offending bits and pieces, but of course, now you can just get the assault kit lol.

I hope there are chainswords and bolt pistols that go in the opposite hands. They all are holding CS in right hand and BP in left. I hope there are right handed BP so you can make destroyers out of them. Also, I do wish the added chest piece and cabling was removable so you could make them despoiler squads.

Indomitus: can have shields, not swords. They come with powerfists as standard. Also I think Asmodai would fit as is mostly as the robes hide most of the Primaris elements.

I love this concept and am so interested in exploring it. What does your travel box/table look like?? I'm thinking magnets will be involved. And set terrain tiles. 1 foot by 1.5 would theoretically be big enough?

@@blackbriargaming5483 I actually followed another KZreadr (Bill making stuff)on a magnetic board inside a foldable case, mine is a bit bigger because it was a briefcase originally but it’s really fun. So far we have just used only epic 40K minis to play killteam but now me and a few friends can jump in to travel HH. Kinda basic board tho just a desert and some large rock outcrops, but I’m going to make a go at a city in a box using the new LI ruins

GW re-released / re-stocked the Christmas Battleforces, that's why there's a queue, everything bar the Starter Set for the new Epic is still in stock: no one cares.

I think Epic is the only way to play HH really in a "fluffy way" ... tbh it's the only way to play 40K in a fluffy way. Was super excited and actually went out of my way to buy Apocalypse so I could use those rules if the LI rules suck.... It didn't occur to me that GW would value these models twice what they were worth and the starter box wasn't even a game-in-itself. What's the point of Epic other than to have a full game out of the box?

this unneccessary queue proofs nothing, its just for manipulation, that people think they need to buy whatever they can, because so many people want their stuff. does anyone know the threshold for this queue? gw is a shit company and noone should buy directly from their dumb shit website. legiones imperialis is way too expensive, it needs to be very cheap compared to heresy, so there is no point playing this game instead of heresy. for the assault squad, whats the price? its a troop choice and most players probably want 10 or 20 of them. prohibitively expensive isnt the way to go, gw prices and lack of models to buy drive people to 3d print, if they dont change this theres no point of buying the new assault marines. the deathwing knights are pretty nice, i quit marines in 40k because primaris is shit. they are not useable in heresy, they are way bigger than cataphractii and tartaros, they just dont fit. you would have to remove all symbols anyway and robes might be suitable for siege of terra dark angels, but otherwise nope.

the queue system was up because they did a second run of Christmas Battleforce boxes etc, many of which have sold out (again) - though last time I checked you can prob pick up a few boxes if you missed out last week. Nothing to do with Legions Imperialis which whilst temporarily out of stock on the UK website you can still grab a box for 20% off from many third party stores as far as I can see though stores which were given like 10 boxes have sold out, the larger ones so far still stock everything.
