"Vadász" in this context refers to the Fighter/Interceptor aircraft. So Fighter would be the best translation, still great work, and thank you for uploading this piece of history.

very good, one small thing with the translation, "vadászok" can be translated as "fighters" instead of "hunters"

I'm Hungarian and that's true. The translation of the Hungarian language should never be done from word to word.

The word "Vadászok" means hunter but in the context of the song i think it would be better with writing fighters

in Greek it works too usually last names come first, it's more respectable but they can come at the end so it can be both, however last name is usually first if we are being respectful

Miklós Horthy was Hitler's ally. This is about his son, István Horthy, who had some strong criticisms about Hitler and the Nazis (there is even a theory that the Germans sabotaged his plane because of his criticisms and that caused his fatal crash, but it's most likely false)

@@pietrocantuccini5584 yeah, just calling him Horthy was probably enough for the soldiers since they mostly referred to the regent Miklós Horthy, and he was quite famous and loved at the time (there's even a song about him, called I am a soldier of Miklós Horthy)

Horthy saved the jews of Hungary by stalling out Germany. At least until they signed and armistice with france and Britain, then Germany invaded

Admiral Horthy was an Anglophilic man, and he wished to make revision of Trianon by alliance with the UK, but the Hungarian noblemen and army leaders were pro-German, unlike him. The Kingdom of Hungary was governed by the chosen Prime Minister and not by Regent Horthy himself, so he had to agree alliance with Hitler. He tried to quit the war and he could even save the Jews of Budapest. Thats why the SS kidnapped his son and replaced him with Szalasi, the leader of the far-right Arrowcross party. After the world war 2, Horthy was summoned to Nurnberg as a witness, and he was never accused with any crimes, as he didn`t do any
