Rising Star is a Mama's boy. So sweet and handsome and his mom Queen Uniek is such a good Mom.

Love how confident Rising Star is because of the example Uniek sets for him. Thankful the colt was able to be freed from the ditch without any injuries. LOVED seeing the storks and the babies. Reminds me of the stories I heard from my mom and Opa when they lived in Ostfriesland. It's fun seeing you and Geertje having fun together.

It is so sweet watching RS and Uniek. He really does hate being separated from her!!. And Uniek loves him doting on her, it is really quite something to see how trauma has bonded these two. He threw a real tantrum being tied up when Uniek was having her braids done!. Even she keep looking toward him shouting and bawling in his stable, when she was only 10ft away. So cute!!!.

Rising Star is a beautiful colt. Uniek is a very good mother. Reina is so sweet. The storks were lovely to see. Storks mate for life.

He shines like a bright penny in the sun. They are so lovely together. The queen and her heaven sent son.

Oh and one more observation - seeing Queen Uniek and Rising Star together still warms my heart. Does Janet come visit Rising Star? I know it will be hard later when he is weaned and goes back to his own stable, but the story of how he and Uniek came together could be a movie. Sadness, joy, laughter - A Friesian Queen and her Rising Star!

Never been a huge horse fan, great animals though, but seeing Rising Star in the paddock with his mom the first time (older video) and I am hooked. SUBSCRIBED. Who doesn't love seeing a feisty silly baby running around?

All is well that ends well. I am so glad he got out of that ditch OK and didn't break anything. The stork babies are cute too. Rising star steals the show every time!

I don"t know anything about horses, but I fell in love with Rising Star and Uniek the moment I saw them

There is nothing cuter or funnier then watching a big horse rolling around on the ground! Our white Percheron and our white and beige Belgian every time we washed them for a show we had to keep them tied down on a short lead because they would stop at nothing to roll after being washed, even between shows we had to keep them tied up until it was time to go out for the jousting that they did with our Knights. They were all rescued, we were a non-profit that rescued horses and loved them. They loved what they did, they were hams and loved all the attention and applause. The louder the crowd was the harder they would charge into the list. I miss them and I think they'll be in Heaven waiting for us.

Aloha! I live in Hawaii (U.S.A.) and a few months ago KZread randomly put in my Recommends the video of Uniek and Rising Star meeting, and from there I’ve been watching all of your videos. I’ve only been on a horse 3 times I my life and those were just walking around for an hour less. I’ve always wanted to learn how to ride. I remember the horse in Lady Hawk but I didn’t know the breed. After watching your videos I know recognise a Friesian horse in the movie Clash of The Titans (2010). You’ve made Friesians my favourite horse now. They are so majestic and graceful. Yvonne, your countryside is so beautiful (reminds me of Austria where my mother is from), your horses live in paradise. Your English is very good. I now know Goed zo and Braaf! I love Johnny! What type of pony is he? I wish I had his mane. Lol. What is his roll and why does he live with the mares? I have many more of your older videos to watch and I look forward to your new ones. @kaiserinxzena Hi just thought I would attempt an answer re: Johnny . . . He is a Dartmoor Pony . . . a bit past 20 yrs old and he works soo hard at being a stallion 😄 his behavior around all the ladies helps to determine which of the mares is coming into season and the handlers get the mares ready for artificial insemination. AND THEN! We get to wait and see who is having next years foals! WHEEE!!

Uniek has a beautiful "pony" tail, as well as she herself is quite stunning. And, her sweet, little Rising Star is growing to be a handsome boy. Stunning beauties all of the herd.

I love that the horses are allowed to be in a herd and that there is so much property. That is how it should be.

English Rose Yes this is the norm at Stal Goengamieden the horses learn from a young age to trust people(on their terms and at their preferred pace it’s never forced or rushed)while also learning respect and boundaries they are together making friends and just growing up. Then when the time comes at 3 years old training begins under saddle and in front of the cart,these beauties are very much seen as family to Rein Sr and his awesome team it’s incredible the time,love and dedication they are provided so beautiful to see.💜🐎

It is somethimes a bit harsh to see a horse get dragged out of a ditch, that's the reason i think.

Oh they don’t drag it out of there, they use something like a small crane with a special harness that is atachted to the horses. And then the horse is calmly pulled out of the water

Those words in unison by Yvonne and Geertje (?) at the end were funny. 😄 🤣 Thank you for showing that Storks nest with babies. I've never seen something like that. We don't have Storks in my area of the USA. It was funny that its nest was out in a field on top of a structure. I'd think the Storks would want to put it in a tree surrounded by leaves and branches like how other Birds put their nests.

When I was a kid we had a couple of horses. One of them was chased by someone's dogs and she fell in a small stream. She couldn't get out because of the mud and the water built up around her and she drowned. Several men pulled her out and she stood but then she died. It was so traumatic! What made it even worse was that she was afraid of water. If we ever came up to a little stream when we were riding she would jump it instead of just walking through it. I'll never forget her as long as I live!

at the 5 min mark of this video would have been a great opportunity to take some amazing photos of the uniek and rising star together for tshirts and posters to sell as a way of honoring this special bond that we have been witnessing since the death of star. i hope you might think about doing something like that it really has a lot of meaning in more than one way. we humans could learn from this action of pure love.

Rising Star such a loving one!

Reflecting on the poor colt who got stuck in the ditch...We don't know his background. Maybe where he came from there was no ditch, and his mom could not teach to be leery and careful about. Animals/humans must learn that bodies of water, among other things, can be a "double edge sword" both life giving and useful, yet dangerous/destructive. 👍

I was surprised by his calmness. He didn't seem to be in a panic over it. I wonder if he stayed as calm when the firefighters got him out. Poor guy. Good thing it wasn't cold.

@@pakejeffje6238 No kidding about the clay soil. I remember the mud that claimed the lives of horses and mules in WW1. I recently watched a video of a crew extracting a front-end loader out of clay soil with three giant tow trucks. That stuff is nasty.
