The Only Mystery about this short is WHY SHe DIDN'T RUN?? It took the person about 10 seconds just to lift the box over her head, an another 10 seconds to put the box over her head...in all that time, i would've been Out the House, In my Car, and 2 Miles down the road!

My theory: the original girl in the box was tortured when she was alive and then stuffed in the box and thrown in the ocean to drown. When the living woman discovers the box, the girl is finally freed but has suffered so much that she's completely lost it, thus, tries to force the living woman to suffer the same fate she did, as a way of revenge (even if the living woman isn't responsible for the girl's torture). Or: the box requires someone to be inside of it, so in order to replace herself, the girl sacrifices the living woman to the box.

Sly Lataupe Answer: the girl is already dead. The box controls her every moment, and has just the energy flow to put the box over the next victim, fresh meat to control. When the girl is free of the box’s power, she falls down, dead as she was.

This is one of the better horror shorts I've seen. The acting was exceptional and complimented the set perfectly. This film was put together very nicely. A talented film.

*Taylor* She had no choice, once whatever it was put it's plan into motion. Commonsense says she'd have known a key and not fish was in her mouth, as her teeth and tongue would have sensed it and her throat would have reflexed, but that voodoo whatsit just bypasses the brain every time. Lol.

I watch so much true crime that if I found a box like that I would have called authorities to deal with it; could be a head or body parts, never know. Another great tale of horror!

Back to watch again, this film is extremely horrifying for me as I have a fear of deep open water and am so claustrophobic that just the idea of being in that box is hideous! Good job on this short by everybody involved.

That acting at the end, wow....I feel like I could see the very moment where the main actress realizes that she is staring into the eyes of not some demon or monster, but the desperate victim she will soon become.

That choking scene was great. I felt her lack of air through the screen.

I don't think there is any theory about this box. The woman still in a nightmare. A lonely girl, in the middle of nowhere, finds a well-secured box. It is how she feels. The box is just one more way to sink. She watches the body (her fears) come out without doing anything. She lets go her fears to enter in another destructive cycle of her life.

Brilliant. Absolutely flawless little horror film. Could not fault it and I am very critical. Lighting, cinematography, score, pace, originality, acting ..... every aspect perfect. Could easily be the germ of a full length film.

I would love to see this as a full length movie too! Though, it's very effective the way it is. Honestly I think getting it done effectively in 10 minutes can take just as much skill as a full film.

@@Lugh444 exactly. That is why I prefer horror in short movies/stories. The "suspense> escalation> scare> twist" horror format works better in short movies. A full 90 minutes will either overexplain the monster which ruins the mistery or will fill with unnecessary side content that distract from the main plot.

Oh ... just to listen to the sounds of the box dragging itself across the floor would have been enough for me to get the heck out of there. Quite engaging. Loved it.

The concept is great, I love somewhat plausible creepy pasta style horror. The cinematography was really good too.

Now THAT'S what I'M talking about. BLOODY WELL DONE! Should be full length PLEEEAASE!! That's a phenomenal beastie that boxed girl and would LOVE more of her!!

I’m not going to lie.. Alter has THE BEST short horror films around.. I’ve watched scream fest and omletto which have a few good ones BUT Alter has the best ones.. Every single one I’ve ever watched has been great quality and the acting is amazing.. So Alter is by far the most superior of them all lol.. At least to me lol

Visually speaking, this is a masterpiece. I loved the story, even thought I didn't understand what happened in the end.

Good one!!! Spent most of the time thinking "open the box...open the box". A good film hooks you from the get-go...like this one. Thumbs up!

Well that was so freakin GOOD! I am normally annoyed by horror movies because there are too many holes in the storyline, bad acting, etc. But , this video was so suspenseful that I became as tense as a rock, and now I have a headache. Her acting so engrossing, so well done. I am usually disappointed with the creation of ‘monsters’ in movies and videos. But, I am the opposite of disappointed... instead, I am ghoulishly loving everything about this video. I am so impressed with the acting, lighting, sound, etc. I am amazed with not only the special effects of the girl in the box, but with everything. But, like I said, thanks to you, I have to stop what I’m doing and lay down for a while because my headache is killing me.

Sometimes I dont understand alter but am in love with the channel absolutely love the short films to bad some of these would make awesome awesome full movies keep it up alter love u from Canada
