mita is really interesting actually. i love how she seems to care about the protag and his wellbeing (for the most part...) and doesn't just bring a knife out immediately lol. in any other game like this the moment the protag asks when he can go home they all go crazy but she was just like, okay i guess you can go back. that immediately made me feel like the devs weren't just trying for a cheap yandere game! excited to see how the full version turns out

Gotta love the slow-burn yandere characters like this: as an aspiring character designer for videogames, Mita kind feels like a return to form for the yandere trope to me. I mean, this is a classic yandere character if I've ever seen one! Haven't seen a well-written yandere like this in a while, kudos to the devs.

So, throwing out some theories here, but I think the version of Mita that you have been hanging out with is the 1.5 version. The 1.9 version is either dead or locked away somewhere, and 1.5 is pretending to be her. The cartridges are either the previous versions of Mita, or other Players who she has trapped in there because they didn't want to be stuck in the game.

I saw a different gameplay video and the cartridge says "Delisa" instead. Could it be they have random generated names for that?

Real talk, I don't feel like she is the main villain. I feel like there is a bigger threat behind the scenes and she's desperate. She might even get a redemption arc since she seems to genuinely care about the playable character (for the most part). Then again it might all be an act.

Ngl the fact the mirror worked blew my mind. Reflections are usually excluded from games, especially indie games, as true mirrors are a lot more challenging to make than other decorative household items.

"Are there a lot of reflections in your world?" That was such an interesting question. It does a lot to make the story feel believable.

Mita's so cute. The real horror of this game is realizing how far AI has come, and if it ever takes over humanity, we'll most likely be alive to see it go down, haha.

As others have pointed out, undoubtedly the most intriguing part of this project is how wildly impressive the character model(s) and animations are. Just ridiculously impressive stuff. The UI (chiefly the subtitles and how they are implemented) is also very creative and impressive in its own right.

_Trapped in an otaku's dream_ Cutest, sweetest little interaction was at 17:04 when MBH tried to smooth her hair. Other than becoming trapped in a video game and having to take pills to stop glitching, this wasn't horror, depending on your love of anime girls. I look forward to seeing how the game plays out on a full release.

Not sure what it says about me, but i feel like if she showed her demonic smile from the last frame from the start, and was honest about whatever creepy stuff is going on here... She would've better chances of keeping player wrapped around her finger.

I remember Manly played a game with an anime girl in a lift. It was obvious in the game it was a one way ticket to the different levels of hell. Mita went demon like the elevator girl in the last frame. What if there is existential horror where the MC slowly questions whether or not he is dead and Mita is the demon that took him to Hell?

This is 15% finished? Holy macaroni it's too good! The usage of the subtitle is very creative. The expression is just simple but great. I like the flow or pacing and the world really complements the the worldview meta-wise. Really looking forward to this. 9/10 wouldn't mind being trapped there.

It'd certainly make the glitchy vision segment causing the protag nausea more immersive.

i'm really impressed with how polished this game is. besides the models and animations, which look great, it's also doing some really clever things with the interface and interactions that i genuinely haven't seen before. this isn't the kind of game you can make by copying youtube game dev tutorials. this is the work of someone who really knows their stuff.

I really like Mita's character design, it's cute and interesting. ESpecially love her adorable neck scarf! It can be hard to make 'anime waifu' characters still feel distinctive and I feel like they did a good job with it.

I am baffled by the quality and attention to detail in this game. You can tell that this is a work of passion and it gives me so much hope for the future of game development.

This game… is just so pretty. I also like Waifu-tan‘s model, but what really sells it to me is her pretty apartment LOL. Each room just looks … so nice??? There’s so much detail and it looks like it could be a real thing! Like, there was no need to make her rooms THAT appealing to the eye, and the devs still went there. Real dedication, loved it! Though I‘m a bit sad this virtual girl‘s apartment will look prettier than anything I will ever own lol

I wonder if there will be an ending that allows you to bring Mita with you back home.

Man I've learned not to have high hopes for games, but holy shit I SERIOUSLY hope the full release will be good. This has so much potential.

Played this game and noticed that at the beginning of the game you can choose minigame about destroying cartridges that you find in vent later( manly skiped that minigame at 2:50 ) vent 25:51

I have never been so gutted to realise this game is a demo, I was VERY much up for multiple hours of Manly being OK with a slightly spooky anime girlfriend XD

That's a really high quality game. So many small details, beautiful, believable dweeb game, beautiful , believable room, the machine is beautiful, the special effects are beautiful. Also, everything has this uncanny vibe, when everything seems normal, but you know, that hell can break loose at any moment

I love how REALISTIC they made Mita as a loving, caring character. To the point where Manly knows he can count on her to take care of him. Like anytime something weird happened, Manly would actually look to her for guidance and comfort, which she would always give. 33:39 as just a small example. Realistically loving and caring anime waifu’s are the future. Edit: Like at 36:49 instead of just going to the room, he’s actually waiting for her and walking with her 😭

Fr, mita is so cute, the fact that she actually holds your hand when you start glitching out and guides you to the bathroom is just so fricking adorable and caring and nice. I struggle a lot with panic attacks, if someone ever treated me with such tender love and care I'd instantly wife them up 😭

You have no idea how much you help me get through the day and deal with all the pressure in my life.

the production quality is really through the roof with this game; all the cutscene animations are not only lively and full of energy, but even delicate and elegant in a way. although i honestly can't tell wheter they are rigged by a particularly talented animator of the current and new style or motion captured with tracking.

Damn this is so well animated and feels so 'close' and real compared to other games in the same vain. Really know how to ground you.

I REALLY liked that bit at the end. The face she makes as she snaps her fingers makes me smile. I can't describe how it makes me feel but I really liked it. I also really liked the style at the beginning, and the game overall just looks very nice. The story has me intrigued.

The animations are actually really nice!!! Like there's a surprising amount of times where there's a custom animation for picking up an object

This is one of those games where I dare not spoil too much of it for myself. Incredibly well executed and I will buy it. So many developers glance over small details and just want to get a game finished. It's so obvious that these devs genuinely care about making a superb, immersive game. Yes, the trope has been done many times before but this feels fresh enough and I hope they will do things to set it apart from other similar inspirations.

Nothing more horrifying than turning you into a mobile game. 😱

I want a short novella about something like this but it's just the two of them being understanding and wholesome with each other

I dunno. The girl seems pretty cool to me. Part of me hopes she'll subvert expectations and actually be your buddy all the way through. Wouldn't it be cool if you convinced her to leave her world and join you in the real world? Possible bad end/good end split, but I digress. I like the way this one is done! Very cute.

Mita is fine ngl I would stay if I were you manly. The game is really interactive and the graphics and animation are AMAZING for a game such as this one.

Sure, the gameplay may be very rudimentary as of what we see hear, but the visuals and the look and feel of the game really make you feel immersed in this digital world. I just wanted to say this once, I have been a silent viewer for ages and I just come back around once in a while to check out some of your videos and I have to say that you're the most wholesome horror game youtuber I have even seen and I think that is really funny but commendable. I can watch your videos, feel reassured by your presence and voice, but immersed and scared at the same time and I don't know how you do it. You're amazing and I felt like I just had to share this 😂.

Wow this is a really good looking game. Really like the other games of this developer. They can really create good atmosphere. MItas home looked so cozy. The menus really stylish and theres a lot of polish to it even in this demo. Mita herself is very cute, and honestly the model and movement reminds me of vtuber models. The expressions are well done and i like the little shadow effect on her face sometimes, not talking about the ones during conversation where she gets more and more grim. The animation is very smooth. Im really looking forward to this game! i do hope the dev puts a physical interaction with mita, along the lines of a headpat or whatever, to really emphasize the sweet aspect to the initial encounter, or like just something you could do whenever. Could really be used for a gut punching scare when you least expect it.

Imagine how good the transition would be when you are pulled into the game if this game was VR compatible.

with designs like these i feel like making a her into an A.I with more scripts and movement would be fire. whenever she causes forced movements it seems mostly human and not clunky.

As much of the waifu ai/ game trend that is going on as of recent, this seems to be one of the greater ones I've seen. 😅😊

THE GAME IS SO DETAILED!! as a 3d modeler and someone who likes to make games, THE DETAIL IS INSANE, her idle animations, the character itself, the cutscenes, the picking up stuff animations down to the sound effects oh my word

Today I told to myself “Hey, your sleep schedule is trash, maybe don’t sleep at 3 AM”, and I was just about to do it before my Senpai-Anime-Waifu-ManlyBadassHero decided to upload and suck my soul into my phone with nightly uploads…

A 10% less depressing version of Doki Doki Literature Club! Nice! OK, sarcasm aside, this is pretty cool. I'm really hoping Mita isn't the main villain, or at least not the Mita who brings you into the game world. I suspect that after the glitch scene she's been replaced by whatever was in the previous version you had to get out of before arriving there, and the 'real' Mita is in the closet.

This looks cool, can't wait to see the finished product! There's already a lot of interesting things happening, so hopefully it gets even better!

The subtle facial movements really sell her cuteness (with nothing that can possibly go wrong at all)

Damn, this is a really cool game. I love all of the foreshadowing, like the books on the shelf and the missing knife in the kitchen. I'd love to see the full game whenever it's out!

This is pretty good for just the demo, especially if this is only 15% of the game as they say. The character model is nice, she's clearly hiding something but isn't instantly, immediately crazy so there's a bit of intrigue, and I know this developer is talented. I'm excited for the full game.

Know nothing about the game but the moment 39:23 happened i remembered a yandere game i played before where you had to monitor the characters facial expressions to tell what action they'd take and her facial expression right there was usually the stabby stabby one lol. Cute game though and was not expecting the fangs lol, but I can probably guess where the story will head just from this but I'll just forget about this game til the full version XD.

I suspect that the protag isn't the first one in her world. Think about cartridges with names and that she said "again" when he went to check closet

Oh, that's a good catch and a real possibility. I was thinking that maybe this is some sort of loop when she said "again". (And I thought the cartridges have name of months on them, since I only saw "May", and I can't read the other labels.)

@@aquablast3155 I cant think of reason why he would be in loop, but maybe there were months, so she could load things like fake winter or etc, cant tell without full version Still, im rather thinking that these were from her previous victims

@@wyze7545 I can think of two: 1. Maybe the player _is_ a simulation. The thing is, his objection to staying in a virtual world forever is... NOT the fact that someone might file a missing person report on him. Though he could be an ultra loner, or was just saying he thinks will appease Mita. (And the glitchy vision he experienced-- is it REALLY because he's a real person in a digital world?); 2. Maybe Mita has wiped the player's memory somehow, and is trying different things. After all, why the drastic change of room layouts after he took the pills? If it's a loop, I think the loop start point would be after taking the pills, as that's where the blanks are. Though I wouldn't be surprised if my guess is wrong, and she does actually already have multiple victims.

Dude I'm like a guy, but is it weird that I find manly kind of cute??? Like, he talks in a monotone voice, but I don't find it weird nor lifeless. And it's not even that sort of "oOOH He'S cOOL aNd MysTerIous" sort of attraction. I genuinely just find him adorable and nice and I don't know why. He feels like the type of dude I'd love to hang out with and just chill around. Maybe there's a certain comfort and safety to how chill and relaxed he is. I genuinely get giddy watching his vids and listening to his voice, lmao is this what celebrity crushes are like for girls? I really hope this doesn't come across as weird or parasocial. I really don't wanna be seen as a creep. I just wanted to express my appreciation, I think he's cute, that's all >~

i wouldn’t mind if it was just that i would definitely live with her but knowing manly track record this is most likely a horror game of some kind i am still really interested in that zombie yandere game you played awhile ago probably one of the most interesting games in my opinion you uploaded to the channel i still go back to watch it sometimes

i wonder why they don't creat a story line where you can turn horror / yandere relationship to wholesome / yandere relationship it is unice when you come at her with massive love energy (lest thing she would expect). most games of topic have liner story where i would escape / stuck / get killed 💔
