A thoroughly entertaining classic with the great Vincent Price. Very well done practical FX & makeup. One of many fantastic horror / sci fi movies & TV programs during the "Atomic Age" 1950s.
This was such a great film! Vincent Price id one of the best actors of all time, imho! Vincent Price is the star of my 3 favorite horror films, Both Phibes films and Theater of Blood!
This is such a well crafted movie. It holds up today in all respects. 🙀
One of the best horror films of its time -- till creepy today. I was fortunate to meet Vincent Price in London England in 1982, and he was the most charming man. A perfect gentleman
Thanks for this. Cheers! ✌️
A true classic of horror. I saw it back in the 1990s, and I still remember how atmospheric and creepy it is.
Thank you for this .I got to see this movie in 3D a few years ago ,and it's brilliant . Theatre of Blood ,and the Phibes movies are some of my favourite films.
It's a shame we can't see none of the classics on network TV anymore. Halloween night use to be full of these movies playing, but no more...

There are quite a few 'boutique' dvd labels releasing remastered versions of many classic horrors titles. Well worth looking into.

@@MonkeyspankO Good to know. Many thanks :)
Jonny Thank you for all the hard work you put into all your videos love them .
My favorite Vincent Price film regarding his roles is Dragonwyck.
I just watched this again the other night, nothing like vintage Price. "Then they can run out into the street and say how wonderful it is to be scared."
As a kid Price was THE horror actor; even enough so that he seemed to do just as much work spoofing himself (who can forget that Brady Bunch episode? or his shrunken heads kit comicbook ad?). So, I was blown away after getting into old time radio to find him as the Saint; great to be able to finally fully root for him. Though his Three Skeleton Keys/lighthouse one-shot already showed his great skills with the macabre. And as a (major) comic book fan as a kid Price was always who I pictured when I read Doctor Strange (especially the early ones constantly being reprinted); even to the point of hoping he'd guest-star on the Hulk TV show as the character. Bixby & Price; what great performances those would've been.
Great job as usually!
House of wax my favorite. And Dr phibes, tingler, raven, classics the bat, last man on earth also
Vincent Price is very amusing for a big star ⭐ and he's great as a villain...He was great on Batman,Brady Bunch,F-Troop and the voice of Vincent Van Ghoul
Love this site . Great episode. Please keep them coming
saw this in the movies in 3D years ago at a revival screening - found myself ducking in the seats during the paddle ball scene
Oh yeah! The best V.P. movie next to House on Haunted Hill!
I love watching this on Svengoogie
Well you to got a great voice..:)
Jonny, I have seen nearly all the movies and shows that you have reviewed, but where is the review of The War of the Worlds, it's conspicuous by it's absence. Another series which was never completed but was brilliant was "the TRipod TRilogy", with machines very similar to the H.G. WElls Mars invaders. I know it was a series, but it was a brilliant show made ,I believe, in Australia. I saw " The House of Wax", when I was eleven, loved the finish! Cheers, Rik Spector

@@JonnyBaak thanks Jonny you are a kindred spirit with me😊
There are several people that I would love to sit at the feet of just to hear them speak. Vincent Price is up at the top of the list.
If anyone knows the name of the music track along with the artist at the very beginning of this movie review (where Jonny tells us how to support his channel) as well as the name and artist of the music that starts right after the Vincent Price interview at around 1:19, please let me know! Thanks!
What happened to the horror movies of yesterday?
Now
Could you do subtitles?
Vincent...with the deadly tobacco drug, which killed him and should be banned, NOW! And, please get a narrator who knows how to correctly pronounce, "guillotine" (gē-(y)əˌ-tēn) and how to CONJUGATE ("safer," not more safe). Sheesh.
I love Vincent Price! He was one of the best of the old time horror actors. Definitely the best of the 1950's, 60's and 70's!

I was crazy about Vincent Price back in the 1970s, and I became a fan of his at that time too, and I have been one ever since then. I even had a crush on him from late 1973 to mid-1978. I love the way you began the video, with an excerpt from the Day at Night interview with Vincent Price from 1974, too.
