Her mother has absolutely passed her own body issues and prejudices onto her daughters. It's such a shame that she's so mortified by something she has no control over. It's a shame the first bride has clearly been made to feel shame about having a larger bust by her mom. DD isn't THAT huge, especially at her size. I kniw: I've been a DD (and a bit bigger during pregnancy and breastfeeding). They're not a burden at this size. They don't cause back problems and cause your bra straps to cut in and things like that. Yes, it's ample, but not ridiculous.....but to feel that she "looks disgusting" or "nasty"?? That's not right. That's not OK. She has a beautiful figure and her bust was not disgusting. It's fine to want to be more modest, obviously, and not have them flashing out the sides or with a lot of cleavage showing, but that's clearly not all that was. That was mom's issues having been projected onto her all her life, and she feels shame for how her body grew. No doubt mom has said things like bigger boobs are cheap and trashy looking or says they're only what strippers or sex workers would have, and degrading those with a larger bust.

If this bride is so concerned about the size of her breasts, there's always breast reduction surgery. One of my high school friends gained a lot of weight after four pregnancies, and she was very self conscious about her breast size. She had trouble finding tops or dresses that would fit, so she made the decision to have the breast reduction surgery. Five months post surgery she said she felt like a new person----she was ecstatic not having to carry around all that weight on her chest. Her arms and neck no longer ached, and she said for the first time in years that she didn't wake up and spend the entire day with a backache. She no longer felt frustrated about finding clothing, and she still maintains today that this surgery gave her a new lease on life. It also gave her the much needed energy to keep up with the children---lifting them, picking them up off the floor, changing diapers, etc. While breast reduction surgery may not be for everyone, it worked for my high school friend when her life seemed like her breast size controlled her daily existence.

If bride #1 wants her marriage to last, she’ll have to go to personal therapy. She’s inherited a lot negative self image problems from her mom, and trust me, it’s very draining on a relationship to prop up someone with negative self image and poor self esteem.

I feel her pain, and my mother had nothing to do with it. I was a DDD even I was skinny, now I'm a K. I have always felt that I look pornographic even in the most modest of clothes. Studies have also shown that a woman's satisfaction with her breasts decreases as the size goes up. If I can ever get the surgery, I will be very happy.

I literally lost my cool at that mother's comment.. she completely ruined the girl's excitement and mood.. how evil can you be to hate your own girl..
