"Hornby" TT 120 Deltic with 24 on

One of the class 50 chassis's has been cut and modified to fit a Lincoln-Locos Deltic body.
A job not for the faint hearted.
It hauled these as if there was nothing behind it and this was only on 30 on the controller which goes to 100.
I still need to try to lower it a little more and a couple of other things to do but a nice runner.

    @@garryhall5552 that’s a shame, wouldn’t be much in over crowding 😂

@@timallen_uk in real life the norm was 13. Some had less but never noticed more and I travelled behind them frequently between York and London.

Looks fantastic, well done for going in! You need a longer platform for these 24 coach trains 😁

Well, 24 coaches would fit what was the old 8N and 8S at York but here part of the fiddle yard would be getting platforms lol.

It is not for the faint hearted. First you have to remove the cab interior which means cutting all 7 wires at each end for the leds. Then each corner requires the casting to be ground to a longer taper. This needs to start about 7mm or so from the vertical ends behind the bulkhead. The buffer beam corners need rounding after the buffers are removed. Then remove the plastic top for the speaker, which, is only held on with double sided tape. That has got the chassis in although it might need to be lower still but too late last night to look at it. The couplings need extending as I don't know if it will couple up when the buffers are fitted. The cab floor holds the coupling mount in place so that needs cutting off the cab interior, fitting, then filing back to match the main casting block. Ideally the whole chassis, motor, bogies etc should be dismantled but I left everything in place.
