Somehow there were two boxes in a local gun shop here in Virginia. I believe they were gone just after they hit the shelf. I contacted Hornady for loading information and they were gone before I returned the next day.

I think the impending and continuing war in Ukraine had more to do with the shortage because manufacturing capacity was diverted to service DoD customers. Having worked as a production manager for a DoD contractor, I am familiar how the priority food chain for supplies work. I expect normal resumption of supplies once the crisis with Russia is settled. This shortage has nothing to do with which 'ding dong' is in office at the moment. Your needs really don't count in the big scheme of things, so suck it up and quit whining.

@@untermench3502 yeah because ammo primers,and powders,didnt get even more scarce when ding dong in office banned russian ammo, which was before war in ukraine! And ammo , primers,powders did not get more scarce with ding dong in office bringing us record 40 yr inflation, ( which is even higher now) which was before ukraine, etc...he's done alot more than this even to make ammo and their supplies scarce

It is not a shortage, it is a run on sales. Big difference, manufacturers are running full speed selling more each year than the year before. Democrats are doing their best selling more guns and ammo each time they open their threatening mouths.

We don't need new bullets...,we need primers,, it seems like a company the size of Hornady sbould easily be able to tool up & make primers, i know you have the Capitol, and the engineers, and the knowledge,, but you don't have any interest in primers or powder, we need gas checks and brass casings too, so get cracking and leave the inventions alone for a spell...help us get out of this shortage,, thank you....
