I find it very sad, that more and more european countrys start using the US/UK siren sound, instead of, or in addition to the european HiLo, even though it´s scientificly proven to be more effective (and sounds better in my oppinion).

@@Bluelightshelsinki I actually meant the tone itselth and not the place of manifacturing. Here in germany for exsemple we do only have one siren sound, that´s used by all emergency vehicles (in german it´s called the Martinshorn). The way it sounds on individual vehicles can differ dueto the way its created (for exsemple electronicly or with compressed air) or by wich manufacturer the the system was produced, but the kind of sound is always the same. What I meant by US/UK siren sound is the the (I think it´s called like that) yelp or wail sound (the sound it changes to in second 0:24) In some studys, one I think conducted by, or for the city of New York, the HiLo sound (it has before 0:24) has found to be less annoyeing, but more effective in alerting people, dueto the abrupt change in Pitch, instead of the constand up and down petwean pitches like the wail siren does. However all siren tones in this video sound really nice and modern in my oppinion, but I just like the good old HiLo better.

Well That’s true But for an example the Ulvo-Sirra D Hi-Lo tone is very diffrent than US or UK sirens and also Sarco SOS-106 (Sadly we don’t use it anymore and its only in some Volunteer Firetrucks) and then Swedish STANDBY siren is very diffrent But I get your point and I totally agree with you becouse norway and Denmark for an example use Very American like sirens. I wish we would also use Martin-Horn here becouse I love the siren!
