Hormonal
Dir. Pien van Grinsven
pienvangrinsven.com/about/
Inspired by her own personal experience and that of three other women, Pien Van Grinsven’s Hormonal uses the medium of dance to bring to light the invisible side effects that hormonal birth control can have on people. The twenty-two minute documentary observes a spectrum of physical and psychological effects and if you, like me, have used hormonal contraception at some stage in your life, the narrative will undoubtedly resonate. Hormonal is an evocative and intelligent piece of storytelling that enlightens with its authentic insights and mesmerises with its visual language of movement, all powerfully observed through the female gaze - S/W Curator, Serafima Serafimova

If I stop taking the pill, my periods get so extremely painful to the point where I can't even walk anymore and that for about 2 weeks long. I mean my periods were always that bad before I started taking the pill. The pill has been a blessing for me since I can keep taking them and I won't get my period anymore!

@@sovietunion-pb4wnIt depends on the pills and your goal but for endometriosis for example, I have a progestative based pill with placebo that we skip.
