Thanks for the video! I appreciate your focus on this fundamental aspect of painting. It seems to rarely be covered in any depth.
That's probably the best tip I've ever heard for feathering!
Molly Hatchet...Beating the odds again??? ;) Thanks for another great video!
The Doc is still the best on youtube.
Great advice! I remember the day I had my epiphany about this exact thing.
So happy to see your still making videos
I've been struggling with this problem for some time now. Thanks for the tips, I'll definitely try it.
I did this without knowing but I see what you are saying. Thank you. Knowing now I think this will add to my knowledge and improve my technique.
Thanks so much for your video! Everything is super fine and you show the techniques very clean for the beginners like me 😂
That was the fairest one of all. 😊
I love that snow white model. I have them saved on MMF, I just haven't broke down and bought them yet.
Cool twisted mini there. Managed to track the source of the stl; may get it and print it.
It seems so obvious yet I would have never thought about it. Awesome!
Just superb! Thank you!
Just found you. Great tutorial! Subd. Thank you for going over the techniques in detail.
Cool and useful as always.
You're the best Doc!!!
Great Video!!! Thanks for these tips!!! 🥳
Impressive technique!
Thanks for teaching. It's a really basic technique but it has a big impact on how a dress or a cloak look on our models.
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
This is the best tip I've ever gotten from you. I was having this exact problem. Thank you!
That’s a terrific tutorial doc. Thanks very much for the knowledge.
Thanks, Doc. Insightful as always. Beautifully explained and exampled.
That was awesome! I am totally going to try that technique out on my nect cloak 😊
Thank you very much, Sir!
Thank you for this tip! I'm going to try it on my next model and see if I can avoid the harsh line you talk about. Also, thank you for posting the name and maker of the model in your description. Makes it easy to find it for myself.
Its a yellow them and a new skill nice combo
Great video! I would say the most important thing is to be mindful of the direction. There is no correct direction for all circumstances (silver bullet.) For myself I usually start following where I want the highlight than build up towards it. If anything I find diagonal seems to be the best also the basis for crosshatching in regular art. Also varying the direction and spacing can help differentiate texture/material types. Thanks for posting and all you do for the community.
It's a great video. Thanks for sharing. You had a new friend sub
