Ойын-сауық

It's finally here. I'm surprised how long the video is considering the game is actually pretty simple

Love how detailed your video is. It's much better than others. It answered a lot of questions I had. But I have a some questions that have not been answered yet. When a hunter freezes an enemy, when is the freeze token removed from the enemy? And does the enemy move on his activation if he is frozen? Is he able to attack with a freeze token? Would you please go into more detail with the freeze token?

the token is removed after an attack is made against it (if it had the token at the start of the attack- not if the attack puts on the token). yes, the machine activates as normal with the token on.

There's so much specific details and exceptions to explain. Other than that it's a relatively easy game to demo, indeed. Good explanation though !

Thanks for this tutorial! I wanted to ask one thing that's been confusing me since I'm new to these kinds of games. When a statement says "adjacent" do we stick to the actual definition of adjacent which is only either up down left or right OR do diagonals still count as "adjacent"? At least in this game. Again, thanks so much for the video! Really helped me a lot!

If the game allows for diagonals to be valid movement, then they are considered adjacent. In this game, diagonals are valid, so it checks out

I know you draw 5 cards at the beginning of the game on your hand. But when and how you fill it back in after use? Do you always take up to 5 cards on your hand?

This is a wonderfully detailed tutorial, but I have a rather specific question. How do you use the deck of cards for machines like the Shellwalker and Sawtooth? The official instructions gave us almost no clues on this.

We struggled with this as well but its explained in one of the demo videos from Steam forged The short answer is that once the machine is alerted you flip one behavior card on each of its activations Have fun!

Thanks for the breakdown. What is a free action? Is placing a trap a free action? It doesn't specify in the rules, which is crazy since hunters can place traps

  • @CynicallyAwesome

A card will say if it offers a free action. It will say “Hunter can do a free move or free whatever”. To place a trap is like you perform an attack action (that gets resolved later- you just set it up ahead of time).

Can an alerted enemy return to nonalerted state anyhow?

No. There might be a special ability somewhere with all the expansions that allows for something similar, but otherwise no

The game looks great except I do not like how enemies take damage and the whole "deck building" mechanism. I would much prefer the method and mechanics used in Dark Souls. Weapon slots and stamina/health cubes.

It depends what you’re looking for. As a solo/co-op experience, there isn’t a lot of depth or challenge, but when you have 3 or 4 players trying to one up each other, it makes for an engaging experience.

Yea unfortunately. I’d say there are better games worth your time and effort for a pure solo experience since you’ll be missing out on the main focus/mechanic of the game which is the competitive aspect
