Just in case anybody was wondering, you do NOT need to go to this place at first to start the quest, you just need to obtain a power cell to trigger the quest. I went to the ruins where you get your Focus as kid, and when I picked up a power cell it started the quest. The quest also makes the armory on your map so you don't have to searching for it.

I kinda thought the game would suck so I passed on it kinda sad I did that now. I heard they are making a sequel for PS5 if I am ever able to get one might actually buy it.

If anyone is trying to get back into mothers cradle, there’s a video explaining how to get up the mountain using a strider. I couldn’t get the 3rd because the cave was frozen shut so I went to the area on top with the large debris going through and there’s a tiny spot you can fit in. Go in, look down, keep rolling and you will eventually fall through into the area bellow.

I like that Aloy wears this outfit in Forbidden West. Given that this is part of a side quest and therefore canonical, it makes sense Aloy would have started wearing it as her main outfit, but then to justify the player being taken back to square one in Forbidden West, Aloy runs into trouble on the road in between games, losing most of her stuff, including apparently the power source for the Shield Weaver outfit, leaving it without its shielding capabilities. I can’t really imagine any other way to explain how Aloy has noob gear at the start of a new game in the same series, given where the last game leaves off.

For those who didnt understand where the power cell in Grave Hoard is, After activating the 3 power locks inside the Grave Hoard, the door will be opened. When you open the door, the power cell should be in the ground beside a supply crate with some mushrooms on the side.

Bruh. I literally spent the last 2 hours trying to get the first 2 power cells and now I find out you need 3 more. I- I can’t even get them.

It was a bit dissapointing to see the armor looking far less impressive on Aloy compared to how it looked before being collected and on Elizabeth Sobek!

Aloy took the shield parts and made it her own fit. She doesnt need a fn helmet etc when the earth is breathable and livable

Yeah, I was expecting to see Aloy walking around in essentially a suit of power armor lol. Still very useful for late game missions, side quests, and Cauldrons as well as The Frozen Wilds.

FYI: the power cell is NOT in the foyer. It's further in the bunker after you open a door with three locks.

***UPDATE*** 2:28 This is the wrong part of the Grave-Hoard. Once you’ve solved the three lock puzzles later on to get the ancient bunker doors open, go through the doors and continue straight ahead, opening another set of bunker doors on the left of the corridor. The main ‘Grave-Hoard’ quest will have you run straight past it, so all you have to do is look down and the power cell will be at your feet, beside a supply crate and some mushrooms.

GAIA Prime and All-Mother require the main quest. The place that you go into at the start of the game to acquire the Focus can be done at any time. I don't know about Grave-Hoard or Maker’s End.

It's like in most rpg's,near or in this case after,the end of the main quest line you get the nicest goodies for which at that point you no longer have need or get to use them only for a short period of time.

I really like hidden cool stuff like this in a game, hopefully there will be more like this in Horizon Forbidden West

For those of you confused on how to get to all these places, you have to complete almost all the main story line quests in order to get to GAIA Prime which is one of the places mentioned in this video. The second to last main storyline quest is level 28.

The minimal requirement for the second to last main quest is level 25. You can rush the main quest, and be level 25 by that time.

@@qrator6882 how did you get that one??? I have 2 out of 3 power cells but when you climb the mountain to the top, there is no way to get the rest of the way up without another ledge to climb....I haven't unlock the GIA RUIN mission yet, but I am a level 33.

For new people playing the game, skip side missions/clearing zones or cauldrons, do main missions and then acquire armor to make everything else easier to accomplish (for those playing on a harder difficulty)

I was going to have the same issue , but apparently my game glitched. During the dialogue when I was being told that the gate is closed I kept running. Oddly enough the gate was still blown open. I ran in and grabbed the poer cell, but upon trying to leave I found myself locked in. Had to fast travel to leave.

Ouroboros if you fast travel to the town. Run outside the gate and over the bridge. Then turn back towards the town and the second gate should be open

I got this as a early Christmas present for Christmas 2020 and it is one of the best games I have ever played big world so much to do and the story is great 👍

2:20 NOTE: The grave horde cave access is blocked. you have to do the quest the comes after it in the video before the grave horde one. Keep playing the main game quest's and you'll eventually get access to it. If you follow the order in the video, you WILL be stuck and confused. Happy hunting.

In the Frozen Wilds expansion, the armor is slightly nerfed. Hephaestus’ control towers release electric pulses that can short out the suit’s force field. And the electric weapon after getting that Oseram girl to upgrade it, if you don’t let it cool off between shots, it’ll backfire hard enough to take the field out completely. Nasty surprise when fighting fireclaws that require heavy, repeated damage in a short amount of time.

January 2022, my first time playing HZD.. and i love this game so much.

That armour is by far the best in the game for fighting especially on the hardest difficulty

quests like these are awesome. This is almost exactly like the quest for tb 51 power armor in fallout 3. Its too bad though that the customization in this game is limited in appearance (they all are the skirt like armor with no helmets) this armor looked cool on the rack but looks nothing like it on the character

no helmets? most of the higher-end armors the merchents sell all come with helmets. I personally hate helments/head gear. Wish there was an option to detatch the helmets because most of them look really stupid. I also wish there were more "revealing" outfits. least show a little leg.

I'm on New game+ and just finished the ultra hard run today and thought I'd do this quest cause the exp is high, didn't realise I had done soo much effort to get the armour back in the day thought two cells were enough 😂

@@merrick5525 you can go there, but you can't get on top of the tower, because the area where you fight the first deathbringer isn't open yet. Or i was just stupid and missed it, because i definitely looked for a way to get to the top and didn't find it. But even if you can get there, you still can't get the GAIA Prime power cell, because that one is behind sylens workshop.

I remember the first time I played through the game and got that armor... I had Aloy doing all kinds of crazy things to test its durability.

Finally got it!!! I had to wait until after "The Heart Of The Nora" so I could get back into Mother to get the second one and wow getting to "The mountain that fell" was pretty tough but I have it!

what happens if you didnt get the second power cell when you first woke up in the mountain?

Just picked that armor up myself. IT IS RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME! I no longer fear the thunderjaw or the other big machines.

I actually randomly came across the first power cell just by looking around with my focus for glowy things and finding the little crawlspace. Of course then I had to look it up and spoil the rest of the secret for myself, but man what a great game.

When I first tried the second combination, I thought of the conventional angle positions of a circle: originating from the right and increasing counter-clockwise. For this set of locks, zero degrees is at the top and the angle increases clockwise.

playing this years later on PC. the GAIA Prime cell can be gotten well before its shown in this video . You already get to its location at the start of the mission. Where that zipline you're told to not use lands you is ledges to climb right up to the power cell room and you get there when you repel off the higher platform at the start

can you access it without the mission? I was up there already to get the vantage point, but got spooked by a stormbird and had to leave as i was not prepared for the battle. if i could get the cell before the mission, ill just take out the bird get it and then get on with the main story.

Just got it early right after the proving main quest The adventure is fun and some challenging glitches and of course this armor reward at the end Dang worth it

Here's the way you can get the second power cell in the mountain without completing the final mission. First, get in the remnant you fell in the prologue. When you get in, use the fast travel to the campfire nearest the mountain, and you will see the way to the mountain is opened

@@regallax137 You Fast T to Mothers Watch where Mountain is. Face the gate and Look to the right side of the gate. Thats the side of the mountain you need to climb. look along the mountain next to gate, keep going round. and you will see a slope UP the mountain. YOU Need a Horse!!!!! to make the climb up that slope. Top of the slope is ridges n Smooth rock faces, JUMP and wriggle horse up these. You need to follow around the village on the Mountain. You may have to dump Dobbin up there and proceed on foot. (DONT fall in to the village untill you get just above the entrance doorway to the Tomb/temple/ etc etc ) ( or you get stuck in the graphics, as its not loaded the activity in the village, so you can get Jammed at bottom of the mountain.) Get above the wood to the entrance, and jump on top of the wood to the entrance frame work. Now drop between the Wood of the frame and the mountain, so you land in the entrance. Bang! your in. Get the Dooffa thing ( Power Cell) then fast travel out. (Call your horse, to get it, off the mountain! you can't leave the poor thing there. its not very nice!) I just did this, so it works.

You Fast T to Mothers Watch where Mountain is. Face the gate and Look to the right side of the gate. Thats the side of the mountain you need to climb. look along the mountain next to gate, keep going round. and you will see a slope UP the mountain. YOU Need a Horse!!!!! to make the climb up that slope. Top of the slope is ridges n Smooth rock faces, JUMP and wriggle horse up these. You need to follow around the village on the Mountain. You may have to dump Dobbin up there and proceed on foot. (DONT fall in to the village untill you get just above the entrance doorway to the Tomb/temple/ etc etc ) ( or you get stuck in the graphics, as its not loaded the activity in the village, so you can get Jammed at bottom of the mountain.) Get above the wood to the entrance, and jump on top of the wood to the entrance frame work. Now drop between the Wood of the frame and the mountain, so you land in the entrance. Bang! your in. With that armour it makes doing NG+ on Ultra Hard a breeze as you start off as the mature Aloy with that armour if you previously unlocked it.

It’s funny how while I played the story, I just randomly found them and had no clue what they were for, then I saw this video and I was like:”Well that was easy.” Thanks for the help!

For me I’ve completed the game and I’m free to go into all mother, I walk around and find the closed bunker ,sneak through the hatch but there is no power cell?

Praetor+Tenno Warframe armor (without special abilities)

Just found the armor, now wanting to go back and get the cells. This is very helpful! I just hope that the All Mother Mountain cell is still available, since I already went into that location very early in the game, before I knew about the Shield Weaver Armor. I guess I'm about to find out! Great guide, thanks!

Just finished the game today. Now for the fun part the side quests and everything else

Something cool I found out is that even if you don’t activate the quest since the cells are able to be found and collected in the world you can still get them all without having to go to the cave first and therefore even if you forgot to activate it in the all mother mission like I did for example you can still pick it up and you’ll be able to activate the quest.

Looking to start this next weekend. Super late getting round to it. Doubt I'll finish it before the next release.

FYI: the 3rd power cell in graves hoard is NOT just sitting in the snow in the first room. you have to go through the ENTIRE dungeon to find it. this guide is almost no help at all in that regard. and the 4th power cell, is actually findable in the mission BEFORE the 3rd one. ....which the guide doesn't tell you, because they are pure evil......now to go all the way back to that stupid skyscraper to get the power cell i missed. since i thought it would be after grave hoard

Disliked this video just because of this half-assed information. I was legit searching for the 3rd power cell in the snow in the starting area (that is shown in the video) of Grave-Hoard. It's stupid that they're making a guide AND yet not explaining where to find it. defeats the purpose.

The armor makes all the difference, now im just cruising through all the battle. It is a must.

Put in 22 hours this past week. 2020 keep it going!

I’m about to be facing “HADES” I still can start the Power Cell quest. But can I access these places again? Especially the mothers mountain? Because I totally missed the power cell in there during that quest…. Are all these accessible once completed all these quests you can find the cells in ?

I see loads of miss understandings about the power cell in All-Mother's Mountain. But, if you end the game (Story line). There shouldn't be a door that's closing the mountain off. So you need to END the story line first to get the power cell if you've missed your first opportunity. (Story line is 20 hours)

Incorrect, you can go back during the night and the door will be open. You may need to run away from the door if you fast traveled in and then re-fast travel in to force a reload to acknowledge that it is night.

NappaTheProducer , it doesn't remove any challenge, try to get it and you will see, you have to almost finish the main quest to get it, this is what they don't tell you, certain places you can't go or won't open up until you get to that mission.

studivan not 100% true but most won't. Im only at the part where Aloy helps find out what happened to Erends sister and I have the armor. (I glitched into mother's heart and the mountain)
