- hunter reflexes will be your best friend on harder difficulties, and activating concentration while jumping or sliding will slow time even more - shield weaver leaves you defenceless with no other protective value after your shield is broken, so on harder difficulties consider using outfits with better stats - as soon as you can get the shadow tripblaster, farm thunderjaws by spamming the wires over eachother and leading a thunder jaw into them, selling their hearts and lens after, while also gathering purple mods ( quicksaving at a nearby campfire then restarting from save in the pause menu will respawn them ) - ropecaster will help a ton in situations where you deal with flying enemies, and if you complete the cauldron for the thunderjaw and stormbird, it’ll save you a few boss fights - buy the epic fast travel pack as soon as possible, and kill every fox you see up until arriving at daytower to ensure you have the fox skin that is necessary - you can disable headgear in settings, and turn on custom hud for a much cleaner looking game - always check the treasure box tab on merchants to grab a sample pack and later on free outfits - handling mods effect how fast your weapon fires - open with freeze as soon as you unlock the option to

This is my favorite video game of all time and I've logged easily 600+ hours into it. It makes me so so SO happy to see this game getting a second wave of popularity after its been out all this time. So excited that this is bringing so many new people into this world to experience something that myself and so many others already hold so dear. Can't wait to continue Aloy's journey in Forbidden West along with everyone new to this franchise!

@@wickedgames8768 the dlc is also free with it. It’s amazing for players like me who never bought the dlc. On top of that, I played this game on an alt account way back when so now I’m replaying it on my main to accumulate the trophies and because it’s just so dam good lol

lol, hey there. I'm a fellow hzd player with 300+ hours on the game too. I was just wondering if you used 3 pristine weapon coils on your lodge blast sling or not. I'm still stuck on deciding if i should play 3 more NG+ games to get the pristine weapon coils for the lodge blast sling.

When doing frozen wild get the stealth outfit first, it help a lot with avoiding machines and planting traps.

The horizon zero dawn's videos were the reason i subscribed to your channel!! Miss them a lot 🥰

this game has such a small fan base man, all the youtuber's who make vids on horizon zero dawn mainly on their channel are people with 2k subs or so only. the most famous person i know who makes hzd vids is ElkjaerTV. He's the best hzd player and he only has 5k subs.

Just started playing it on pc I bought it for ps4 when it came out but it was terrible with a controller so I returned it the next day but I got a pc and finally bought it and this game is amazing on m&k

I accidentally went into the DLC area. Because I couldn't defeat the deathbringer at that point. It helped me alot indeed as I could buy myself a good weapon and also recieved good armor. You do however need to defeat several other hard beasts but in the end the rewards are great and will help you throughout the main story. Also speaking of which, the secret story behind the DLC gives you more lore of the normal story.

I was on one of his live stream about a year ago asking him when he was going to post horizon zero dawn. I’m so happy that he’s doing it again.

It’s great! Although I like to use the shadow heavy armor that gives 3 weaves and doesn’t blind you from watchers. The shield armor is too op in my opinion that it ruins the thinking aspect of the game for me

I dislike the shield weaver armor. Unless you’re playing normal or below there’s more benefit to other armors especially with the right mods. Shield weaver might as well be tissue paper on hard or above.

I always found it nice to carry an extra of each bow (1st game version and NG+ adept version for example) since you can simply customize each bow to different needs. Adept bows I built for damage (freeze for champion) and handling as my go to set. The non adept bows I built for status and simply tearing parts off (when I felt like it at least; ultra hard makes tearblast arrows all but useless it felt like. the tear blaster from the lodge quests was better in ultra hard)

Thank you for making new videos on Horizon Zero Dawn. I missed this game when it first released but I’m so happy that it became free on PS4 now. It’s such a great title and it’s the exact game I’ve wanted to play in a long time. Your tips and tricks videos have been helping me out lots and although I have it on a low level just to enjoy the story, I will play it through again on a harder difficulty at some point. Keep up the good work and thanks for your content.

I really appreciate the heads up on the DLC items. I've already played Horizon Zero Dawn all the way through and got the platinum trophy but I never played the DLC at the time. I'm starting a New game plus play through now and your advice was invaluable for sorting out my map priorities. Thank you very much 😊.

Don't know if this had been said already, but you can get x4 Bluegleam Box from one of the Merchants in Meridian. The one that takes the Gems and processed machine blocks for Random rewards. the Box's each give 1 Bluegleam I believe. Requires -Stormbird Lens x1 -Thunderjaw Lens x1 -Rockbreaker Lens x1 -Behemoth Lens x1

Frozen wilds was my favorite area . Difficulty went up a lil with machines. And just a bunch of cool missions to complete. I was terrible at the puzzles getting to ourea tho lol. Took me 10 mins to figure out the last one when you meet ourea 🤷🏽‍♂️ Then the cauldron. Lol was a bit tough. Had to actually put thought into getting through that one. Lol

shadow bow has triple damage to frozen enemies. I preffer using it instead of banuk powershot bow. I think this is an important note.

I know I'm late to the party, but any kind of raw damage dealing arrows deal double damage against frozen enemies, no matter wich bow you use. It won't work with elemental arrows or blast slings and tripcasters etc.

I remember following you for for HZD 4 years ago with a few thousend followers... look at you now

I hated the concept of this when I first saw it. But as it was free, I thought I would try it out. LOVE it!! As a hunter, I am close to being a dumpster fire, but I love the chaotic game on/over battles. Still tons to learn. 100hours+ came up quick!!

Dont care how old this game is I would never delete it ...its one of my favorites..cant wait for pt 2

Got the shield weiver armor straight after the proving following a video showing how to get into the areas early and grabbed the frozen wild bows right after I left as well thanks to this video. Dont sleep on the lodge blast weapon sticky bomb. Crazy damage

Honestly the machine enemies are some of the best ever designed in gaming, Returnal might rival it from what I've seen so far.

interesting guide. I thought of getting the banuk bows after i complete all the quests but now i will go get them now.

these banuk bows are crazy powerful early game...id suggest for challenge seekers to wait a bit later unless you want to trivialize a lot of early-mid game difficulty. that powershot bow just mercs machines esp if they are frozen.

Sounds broken these weapons don't have level requirements or just a loophole to get early game end game weapons lol. Came here for weapon advice but this will probably ruin my experience.

@@Morphyne_Cowboy Well Sylens planned it all along. He neutralized the immediate threat but want ready to lose all the knowledge that Hades had.

I came back to this game after a long break cause the dlc was free I picked up my NG+ pt and went right into the dlc the weapons are great and have an extra mod slot in NG+ 4mods slots is crazy I love the banuk precision and war bows. Can’t beat the good old fashioned bombs and ropecaster though.

Power Charge vs long range bow.. I pick long range... Less hassle with charging.

I use that special armor and the 3 banuk bows with the best stats on it for each one. They are very strong

I suggest using the adept banuk striker bow with 3 pristine weapon coils and a 67% handling coil to max out the handling. do this and you'll have the most op weapon in the game.

The Banuk bows do their listed damage when overcharged. When undercharged they deal less damage than the base game bows.

@@makaiokalahama Lodge are pure upgrades, but they don't cover every weapon type and are also quite a bit of work (and progression) needed in order to complete

I bought it today and let me tell you, they did a great job on the optimization of this game (pc) runs great with everything in Ultra settings.

The stormslinger its the best weapon after upgraded too 4 slots. I should know. I still play this Awesome game. Much love..

The Hunter bow is better than the adept according to the stats on my screens. It’s the Banuk one on NG+UH. Might have to get the NG+ version in the frozen wilds

If you do not want to drop difficulty cheat . Get High stealth and visit Frozen North early . Buy Blue Cleaml map and you can seek passed every machine when you collect them .

I got those pretty late game, after you learn what happened but not quite done. Very fun to just slaughter a Trex in 2mins lol

Less of a weapon and more of a combo: Ice spray from the Icerail combined with a high impact Rattler many times is borderline broken. Even those like the Rockbreaker fall to this combo rather quickly

Finally killed enough goats and badgers and got the blue gleam maps and now the bow..ooosh

If you have the Frozen DLC, do it once you reach level 30-40. Them Banuk weapons has higher base damage stats. And once you got Ourea and Aratak's weapons and improve them by the help of an oseram NPC, they get more powerful. Another one is, don't forget to put Handling mods on your bows and ropecaster. I put 3 handling mods on my ropecaster (50+ each) and damn, those Stormbirds and Glinthawks doesn't stand a chance. Ropecaster with 150% of handling + blast sling with 3 damage mods, those birds gonna cry.

I have the striker ,war and sharpshot banuk bows and its doing me well

The increase to furty five is pretty nice.

if anyone still playing this, the banuk power shot bow is underwhelming, even at max handling by the time you its a fully charged, an enemy already hit you (banuk weapons needs to be full charged to get full damage). its a good opener and not much else interms of damage, its not a very good main bow.. its better to use the banuk striker bow the best bow in the game i placed 3 prestine mods on it and 1 handling mod. Also The damage does not double when you fully charge the banuk bows, it will only do full damage.

On new game + all the weapons has 4 slots and you need specific hearts to buy the bows. You can only get the Banuk Striker Bow at the end of the DLC because it requires a fireclaw heart, base damange is 70 witha max of 175.

Yeah I kinda forgot about these, I guess they can be seen as gold tier gear!

@@bodacious6199 lmao i tried, and yea it was well traumatizing, i dont even use the shield weaver because it makes the game way easier so playing the DLC on a untra hard was a disaster.

Is it wise to have multiple bows for one type of ammo? ex-shadow war bow with only tear and same bow with damage.

If I dident have the shield weaver armour the thunderjaw would've killed me so many times. Same with the fireclaw

Ignore this video and play on ultra hard. The Shadow Lodge Adept weapons are the best but you can only get them on ultra hard in new game plus. The weapons he mentions in this video do half the damage the adept ones do. It is not easy to complete the hunting grounds on ultra hard though.

The weapons n armor get better in NG+ i never really liked the shield weaver armor it cheapens the game pretty much walk around like a terminator the game is best when played on NG+ ultra hard setting i recommend adept stealth armor 2 heat sink weaves and a insulated weave or the master stealth armor same weaves plus a stealth weave tons of fun and super challenging

After putting in 75 hours in Forbidden West I paused near the end of the story to revisit zero Dawn which I never came close to finishing. The game looks a lot better on the PS5 than I ever remember it looking on the PS4.

Take on 2 thunderjaws and I don't mean like your other video. I mean 1 v 2 head on. That'll be something cool to watch. I did it and it takes up almost everything you got. Fun stuff.

I know this is late on. Just gone back to the game before doing the sequel. Don’t know if they patched it or if it’s because I’m playing new game+ but in order to buy the 3 bows in addition to bluegleam each requires shards as well as a heart (frostclaw, scorcher & fireclaw)
