Legendary roots Reggae singer Horace Andy visited the Entertainment Report Podcast studio while in Toronto. During the interview, Andy shared his experiences growing up as a troubled youth and recounted how a friend encouraged him to audition at the renowned Studio 1. He discussed his admiration for Leroy Sibbles, whom he considers the greatest living musician from Jamaica. Andy also opened up about both his positive and negative experiences at Studio 1, recording hits for Bunny 'Striker' Lee, and the issues he had with him. Additionally, he talked about his cousin, Justin Hines, and how he inspired Dennis Brown to embrace Rastafari. Andy reflected on his long friendship with the late U Roy and detailed his moves to Connecticut, New York, and eventually England, where he met and collaborated with Massive Attack. All Horace’s singing peers have left their mark over 4 decades ago. Gregory Issac, Horace Andy, Dennis Brown, Bob Marley, Sly n Robbie, Steel Pulse…They didn’t sit around complaining when they were in their prime

Over the past two years I have met two artistes who left a massive impression on me. Johnny Osbourne and Horace Andy. Patient, kind, intelligent, and genuine. With too many to choose from, my favorite Horace Andy is Money Money on Wackies.
