Hopsin Compares Leaving FV to N.W.A Movie, Talks Dizzy Wright, Kendrick Lamar, No Words
Музыка
www.hardknock.tv Hard Knock Tv's Nick Huff Barili sat down with Hopsin at his home studio for an in-depth interview. This is part 3 of the conversation. As most of you know Funk Volume is no longer. Hop sat down with Nick for over an hour to explain how things got to this point and why he has walked away from his own label Funk Volume and his distribution deal with WBR. Hopsin breaks down why he is no longer talking to his former Funk Volume partner Dame and how things are with the rest of the crew including Dizzy Wright and Jarren Benton. Hop also shares his vision for his new label and clothing company Undercover Prodigy.
Plus much more!

Hopsin is love, Hopsin is life.
Aside from his talent, the main reason Marcus Hopsin has been so successful [even without good management], is the he's genuine and he shows it in his music. Especially in his ILL MIND songs.
When i heard ill mind 8 it reminded me of Straight outta compton.

These Hopsin interviews were very interesting in how they reflect upon the public's perspective of artists vs. what goes on behind the scenes. Hopsin is right that in the past he was more of an underground, youtube, do-it-yourself rapper, and he's one of the biggest in that class of rappers. It's totally different from the life of a rapper who is on the radio, always meeting other rappers, and making their way around the entertainment industry/media. I will be really curious to see how successful Hopsin is as he tries to establish these relationships and foster his growth in the more mainstream rap game. I hope he is able to find this sense of success while maintaining his rawness and not becoming overly conscious of his own image that he is forcing onto the public (like in this interview when he does the impression of the rapper who gives really generic answers and acts like they don't give too much of a shit). Only time will tell.
Wherever you are, Hop, I'll always be a fan, homie. Thanks for keeping it real with us.
The interview we've all been waiting on!
Hopsin's heart is speaking in this one.
love how open dude is,
This was a dope interview, big ups for puttin this out, and for Hopsin clearing the air on recent events.
I felt some good energy from watching these interviews. I respect that Hopsin has come to terms with the reality of the music industry. He can be authentic all he wants and still collab with different breeds of artist.
fantastic interview!
I just hope Hopsin don't change if he comes in contact with mainstream "rapper" and stays humble and RAW
Fantastic video on so many levels. Nick, really like your style, man. Way to create the space for Hopsin to really answer and think through his comments. Hopsin, great strategy and comments, man. Looking forward to your new levels of business and continuing with your fantastic art. And thank you for puttin this interview up. Bravo, Sir.
just when you thought it was over yall drop part 3! greatest interview hands down! speak truth
Hopsin the realest. Really inspiring video
Hopsin made a permanent fan out of me. He's real.
The ending at 19:00 and forward. This is why i respect hop so much. He's crazy, he lives in the moment, he might say or do stupid shit, but at the same time, he acknowledges that this is going to happen and wants to learn from his mistakes. A lot of people can take a lesson from that. Truly an amazing human being.

this was a really good interview
The funniest part of that interview was the machine gun.
Just watched all of his recent interviews. I tell you man, my favorite interviews are always Hop's and yours because they're so genuine.💯Too many artist seem generic but, Hop? He's real. That's why I'm a huge fan of his.
Now that he's done the collab with NF, Hop should be blowing up EVEN bigger. He killed his verse, and didn't curse once. He's more versatile than he gets credit for.

good interview, loved it, also good luck Hopsin with your future
After watching this interview my respect for Hopsin as an artist, Marcus as a person, has increased tremendously. Keep to you man. The person who will be there for you from the beginning to the end, is that reflection.
The part were he talking about how he expanding to more artists and stuff. He really needs to embrace that more, cause he can learn a lot more. Not saying he isn't good, because he does a lot of things great. But he also has a lot of things to make himself more consistent. Ill Mind of Hopsin 8 was very good. Keep on improving hop.
Imagine Hopsin's campaign promises, if he ever ran for office. "I'll always talk about masturbation!"
Hopsin man! I could just listen to you talk for hours homie!!! You are one of the few real people out there in the world! Keep on rippin it!!
pumped to see the new Hopsin, Can't wait for new music!!
Just realized I'm wearing my 2015 FV Tour shirt as I'm watching this...
Fv situation = NWA situation Damn history repeats itself eh?
every interview of hop i see, i fall more and more in love with his personality
Hopsin's Energy levels moves from 0 to 1000 in a millisecond....a snap

@exc3ll3ntrhythm25

How is he bigger than tech nine? strange music has made way more money than funk volume, which is how you define success. I've never herd any song by him on the radio except for am i a psycho. yeah thats youtube subscribers hop wants to become mainstream now; youtube is just a place to start like for justin bieber, i don't really like his music but he is youtube's biggest musical success and he left youtube for more money which if hop did would be awesome he would still keep a presence on youtube but would start focusing on what he is saying, the chess game that is the music industry. Not only that but he talks about wanting to get a better team surrounding him and strange music could get him radio play and be closer to shady records and dr dre. Being independent is overrated which i feel hop is starting to realize. Don't get me wrong I love hop and have been listening to him since haywire i just feel like if he would've signed to a major label back then he would be a lot bigger, with the major label doing advertising for him and setting up better opportunities which is what he's talking about in these interviews.

This is the true definition on an "Ah Huh" moment and having an epiphany! EVERYTHING happens for a reason and there are no such things as coincidences in life. All things happen are Divine Design and if you don't get overwhelmed with your situation you will see blessings and lessons life is teaching you those very moments. Congrats to Hospin for making the paradigm shift.

RamboVisuals | did you know that one of the things about being an adult is that you can change your mind about things and disregard stupid shit you said when you were a teenager. Hopsin openly said he took shits at people for no reason on some dumb shit. Some of the people he took shots at he really didn't even know personally. Only children live life based on some hateful shit they said 10+ years ago about some people they didnt even know. Hopsin has grown so you should follow suit.
HOP - YOU'RE A GENIUS...DAME DIDN'T "DO ANYTHING TO YOU" THAT YOU DIDN'T ALLOW. AND YOU ALLOWED IT BECAUSE IT NEEDED TO HAPPEN. YOUR HIGHER SELF...THAT PART OF YOU THAT IS SHOOTING "YOUR MOVIE" KNEW THAT DAME HAD TO GO AND IT HAD TO HAPPEN EXACTLY LIKE IT DID. YOUR HIGHER SELF CHALLENGED YOUR LOWER SELF ON WHETHER TO KEEP ROLLIN WITH AN ELEMENT THAT WAS NOT SERVING YOUR HIGHER GOOD AT THAT TIME. BUT YOUR LOWER SELF WANTED TO "KEEP THE PEACE" NOT REALIZING THAT THE "PEACE" WAS ACTUALLY KILLING A "PIECE" OF YOU. TURN THE HURT INTO GRATITUDE. THIS HAD TO HAPPEN FOR YOU...YOU HAD TO LIBERATE YOURSELF TO TAKE YOUR CREATIVITY TO A MUCH HIGHER LEVEL. ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF FIRST...LOVE AND RESPECT YOURSELF FIRST. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE AWESOME CONTENT. IT HAS CHANGED THE LIVES OF MILLONS!!!! AND FUCK OBAMA AND BEING SEEN WITH "OTHER CELEBRITIES". TRUST ME YOU WANT TO REMAIN INDEPENDENT ON EVERY LEVEL OTHERWISE, YOU WILL INVITE THAT "DAME" ENERGY BACK INTO YOUR LIFE...AND IF YOU'RE READY FOR THAT, GO FOR IT..BUT IF YOU'RE NOT READY TO PLAY THAT GAME - STAY FOCUSED ON YOUR INDEPENDENCE AND YOUR LOVE AND RESPECT FOR YOURSELF...PEACE :-)
