@@gamercentral2417 The subtitles aren't meant to be singable in the song, it was more of a translation of what was being sang This commentator tried to turn that subtitles into something that can fit better into the song

2:47 just broke me... I haven't felt so close to this game's story in YEARS. Not enough people touch on the story of this game, I was so happy to hear that part... simply wonderful. Thank you so much for this. I don't even watch anime and this is some of my favorite Undertale media to ever exist.

This is actually one of the top tier songs I have ever heard in this fanbase. This could actually be a anime opening if it was an anime. The music sounds perfect, the mixing is great, the vocals were also awesome, everything about this is just perfect. I wouldn’t ask for a better version. Also, if you don't pause to analyze with knowledge you already have about Undertale (like if someone who hasn't played war bed the hypothetical anime), it doesn't seem to reveal too much. That makes it even better, because once the game ends it all makes sense.

This song honestly made something click, and I realized about Undertale's lore. Specifically the "Have you ever lost it all" all the way to "Oh god how can you blame" Paired with the video in the background, it made me suddenly realize why Asriel's story went the way it did. The human villagers didn't see a young boy coming to lay his best friend and adopted sibling to rest. All they saw was a monster, who they've been taught to fear, walking through their village carrying the corpse of a human child, one who had even come from that same village. One that some of them may even have known personally. The magically-inclined among them may even have been able to see Chara's soul within Asriel's. Of course they responded with hostility. You can't blame them for assuming the worst. And so even as he died, Asriel forgave them. Damn that hits hard

Could you EVER see a Flowey apologizing for killing everything before he was ever given a soul, or given anything he would care to apologize for. Chara and Flowey aren’t innocent, but they aren’t pure evil, and it’s the same type of evil as force of nature. It’s something no one (but us, the player,) has control of. That’s what I think. @@Princess_Penni The way I see it is that Flowey himself even in the genocide route -- we are given a chance to sympathize with. Chara on the other hand has us do all of the work for them and is even an accomplice in the genocide route. In neutral, she's also completely useless. All of the souls help us in defeating Asriel *except* Determination -- Chara's soul. And this is *after* it was established that every soul had been absorbed by Omega Flowey. Chara didn't seek retribution, therefore she doesn't get it from me. Asriel, as far as I can tell, did everything in his power to be a good person. Even as Flowey, he describes how he tried desperately to love his parents back as they grieved for him as a flower. He then says that he was *physically unable to* . Asriel here gave it his all to do good, whereas Chara just kind of did what they wanted and let others pay the price. So yes, not pure evil, but still worth disliking.

When I was in nursing school I listened to this song before every big test. Years later, now that I’m an ICU nurse, I listen to it when I’m heading into a bad shift because it fills me with determination. This cover is my new go-to, it’s amazing.

The section from about 2:40 to 3:00 makes me wanna cry and gives me chills every time. It's just so touching and powerful. I also love how it's followed by "despite everything it's still you" which is one of my favorite lines from the game by far! This whole thing is masterful and really captures everything I love about Undertale! I'm also amazed at your dedication to hearting and replying to each and every comment. I wasn't going to leave one originally because as a service to you. Giving you one less comment to have to respond to, but I guess I just couldn't help myself. This is just too good, and I felt the need to thank you personally. So thankyou. You're doing some awesome work here, you should be proud! ^.^ edit : Wanted to add that I find it so cool how sometimes a simple phrase in English can be said with so many more words in Japanese, while an entire phrase can be said with a single word. Japanese just seems to have a lot more flexibility in that sense, and maybe it's just me for not really being a master of English nor knowing much Japanese, but I just think that's really cool.

I’ve listened and loved the original of this song since the day it appeared in my recommended and was looking forward to this full version. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. The lyrics had just as much impact as the voice singing them, that along with the visuals really made this song just something else. Well done on this, my only criticism is that the end of the original and picking up into this one definitely felt a bit off for the first few seconds, but it quickly rebounded. Well done on that despite it I’m sure being a tough process!

Just finished the premiere, simply amazing take on the anime opening, the lyrics are great, the instrumentals and vocals too, simply an amazing work worth listening to.

it is amazing that a game i played years ago and that i have mostly blocked out of my life (due to an unfortunate percentage of the fanbase being super cringe) can still, when presented in this way, make me cry and smile all at once. Oh my god... this is so good! The way you were able to adapt Japanese and English lyrics alike into the Undertale tracks was seamless, it felt as if this were an official anime! Awesome work and can't wait to see more!

Just came from the premier! I woke up uncharacteristically early just to make it to the premier, and it was 100% worth it! Thanks for the amazing cover! I got so excited that I even jumped out of my seat in the middle of the song!! 🤣

I think it's been a year since I heard this. I listened to it a lot during a very difficult time, and it helped me accept who I was, where I had been, and where I was now moving forward. Follow your heart. Don't kill, and don't be killed. Despite everything, it's still you. I don't cry often. Often. Not never. This is still by far one of my favorite songs anyone has ever made. Having listened to it over 20 times already, I just felt I had to do something extra to show my appreciation, so I wrote down my take on the English lyrics! Looking back on this 10 months later is insane. Despite there only having been 10 months since I have seen this, it still feels like so long ago, so many things have changed in my life since then, and even more since I first played Undertale, much, much longer ago. Listening to this gives me such a strong feeling of nostalgia that I couldn't help but stopping what I was doing when I suddenly heard it while listening to my old playlist. Okay, this was just pure awesomeness. Good job! Although, as someone who's studied the language for a while, i've noticed a few quirks that make it look like it's been through a translator, but it's not like they're a big deal (one example would be at 1:08, daijobu means 'alright' as in "are you alright" or "i'm fine", where you used it instead of something like 'ne', just as a pointer!) Still too cool to listen to regardless of language, and keep up the good work!

Oh yeah! Thanks for the pointers! Tbh I used a translator from Fiverr and my guess is maybe they were “too cheap” 😅 I’ve taken it on myself to hire a private teacher for Japanese and just handle the translations myself from now on. Thanks so so much for the pointers! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The animation is so so impressive for this one! You can tell passion went into this. For the Gaster clips, I think it would be fitting if in the hypothetical anime, Gaster never appeared, but he somehow was in the full version of the intro like he is here.
