Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Two orphan owlets are in need of a home. Meanwhile, a couple of parents are brooding infertile eggs. @RobertEFuller decides to replace their eggs with the two abandoned chicks, and Luna the owl takes them as her own. My baby Nigerian Dwarf goats could tie for first place, but they'd still have to share it with fuzzy, wuzzy, fwuffy, widdle baby owls! I clicked immediately when I saw the adorable thumbnail pic. I've loved owls since I was a kid. I live on a mountain now, way out in the boonies. I used to get TV reception from a big aerial antenna mounted on a 20 foot tower, but with wifi streaming and a smart TV, I don't need it now. I was about to sell the tower when I heard hooting one night and came out to see a big, gorgeous, majestic Great Horned Owl perched on that antenna, scanning the mountainside for his/her family's dinner! Nope, the tower stays as long as I own this place! 🦉💓

I had the privilege to watch a Mourning Dove pair who nested outside my bedroom window. They used that nest for 3 years before it blew down in a storm and laid 3 clutches of 2 eggs each per year. It was a little above my head so I could see the babies after about a week or so until they fledged. I just loved watching them flap their wings and assess the situation before finally taking their first flight. Many babies spent their first night out of the nest on my balcony which was the perfect distance (and a bigger target than a tree branch).

@@hectorsmommy1717 - That's really cool, I have finches where I live and they have nests on my neighbors house and on my garage so I've seen and even helped a couple learn to fly... I saved one from a shrew trying to pull it in its hole and I kept it for 2 days until it started flapping its wings again so I brought it outside and waited for the parents to come for it, so now the babies of the one I saved are super friendly w/ me and will land right at my feet when I go out and feed them. It's so cool that they trust me but when I had it in a box I could see it realizing that I was helping and I feel like it told the other birds that I'm a good human.... 😁👍

"The assumption that animals are without rights and the illusion that our treatment of them has no moral significance is a positively outrageous example of Western crudity and barbarity. Universal compassion is the only guarantee of morality."

Why western crudity? As if only western culture does that. I just love howeveruone likes to hate on western culture and demonize it as if it's done nothing good ever and like in this instance you make it sound like only western culture mistreats animals. When it reality western culture/american culture is better to animals than any other culture is the world. We are all about animal rights, people spend thousands on their animals and there are countless charities and foundations set up for the conservation of wildlife habitats and saving endangered species and stopping certain practices like whaling and the fur trade. Eastern cultures or just other cultures that aren't western or Eastern I don't know what you would call them other than just foreign, are the polar opposite. So I don't even know why you would post something like that. I'm aware western culture like everywhere in the world has industries that could be considered cruel to animals but there is more done to save animals and benefit them in the Western world than any other places. If you truly believe that is not true and that I am incorrect, then you need to educate yourself on this subject so you can see the unjust and cruel treatment animals face in Eastern culture and many other countries that don't fit into the genre of western culture. Even just the every day living standards and treatment of pets is so different. This statement is the statement of an ultra left wing individual who just enjoys hating on westernized society and/or Americans and British.
