Hope Tucker: Missing woman found dead
Police in Buckeye have a sad update on the search for a mother who was reported missing late June.
In a statement, a Buckeye Police spokesperson said the body of 46-year-old Hope Tucker was found just before 6:30 a.m. on July 8, about 1.5 miles away from the I-10. The remains of Tucker's dog were also found in the area.
She went missing on the morning of May 22.

This is puzzling, curious what the autopsy report will reveal, there are tons of houses and businesses in the area that someone could easily walk too.

No, I got heat stroke once and there is no way I could have walked to any house.
God Bless the family. So sorry for your loss.

Still don't understand how the son could make it to a gas station but she didn't.

The son has autism and he doesn't speak will so he doesn't know but all he knows was his mom eye close ( whish she was gone )so I believe that's when he left to the gas station.

I agree. How did he survive two days (including nights) in the hot desert. So strange.
So very sad.
RIP ma'am
I guess they don't want us to here the news if there is no sound.

Such an unprepared woman.
So very sad.. sending love and healing thoughts to their family members
OMG Rest in Peace. This is just a very sad story, and dogs are the best just saying.
This story is so strange and odd. This woman was on I10 and Verrado Way and her car stopped close to the intersection. Instead of staying with the car for shade she decides to walk into the desert to find a shade tree? She passes away. Her son wanders the desert for two days, including nights, and ends up at a Quick Trip gas station. He is severely autistic so how did he know which direction to go? How was he able to survive the days and nights without water and survive? Why did DPS not try and contact the owner of the vehicle after it was towed? Wouldn't you want the owner to know their vehicle was at the station? Very suspect. Then the son is at a hospital for over a month and then released to his family where some details emerge when he is asked the whereabouts of his mother. This is Buckeye the same department dealing with the missing case of Daniel Robinson. How good of a search did they do with dogs and drones and not find her for days, weeks. She was found a mile and a half from the car location. Are we to believe a drone would not have have found her. Only a mile away. Are we to believe that officers on ATV's could not find her. Did they not look beyond a mile? Something is very wrong with this story. I hope Arizona investigative journalist look into this story. Why couldn't they find her? Very suspect.
So sad. Did husband set her up to die?
When you travel you make sure you have plenty of gas and at least a bottle water and you have your cell charging there are extra car charges as well . I’m a driver and have travel many states every state every road leads to somewhere ! East to West , North to South . You stick to the road so you can be seen eventually! It don’t add up !
Poor woman RIP
Son made it back hummm this doesn’t convince me at all ! and she had no cellphone ! A community near too many stuff !
Sounds like probably they were under the influence of something or he had something to do with it

Such a disgusting comment. But, yes they were under the influence of the sun and lack of water.

Just a little context regarding her son, he is autistic; he has limited ability to communicate and he was found in distress at a gas station. It sounds to me like she and the dog may have collapsed from the heat/dehydration and her son became distressed then he eventually wandered away in confusion and high anxiety.
