I love test cricket too and I agree with you that only this form can produce these kinds of absorbing stories. However, it is obvious that the shorter forms of the game are here to stay. They are exciting for the thousands of people with short attention span and they make lots of money for organisers and sponsors. On the other hand, I believe that if cricketers, coaches and managers adopt a different approach to 20/20 and ODI's, test cricket can get even better. I suggest that short form cricket can be used as a training exercise to teach batsmen how to score quickly without gifting their wicket. Bowlers can learn how to restrict scoring if wickets are hard to come by and fielders have an opportunity to practice taking hard catches and make it very difficult for batsmen to score easy runs. All of these skills are relevant during five days of test cricket where conditions and the state of the game often change from one session to another. What 20/20 does not facilitate is mental and physical endurance. That is where fitness, discipline and individual temperament are critical.

One thing about Windies winning is that they never ever play boring Cricket. It's all class

Massive respect for this young Windies side from an Englishman! Keep this group together, most are only 24-25 and given time and a few years they will only get better. I'd still expect England to claim the series but this has set up a thrilling finish. Who said Test Cricket was boring?

There should be absolutely no one blaming Joe Root for the declaration. It was an aggressive thing to do and this time it just happened to back fire. Big ups on the Windies too. This is the best form reversal I've seen from a team in test match cricket ever.

West Indies thoroughly deserved the win looked a completely different team from the first test, take my hat off to them and it's good to see there starting to come back to a decent team again.

You could almost hear Michael Holdings voice choke as he said,"That's the winning run".

Two good results kn 30 hours. Had bangladesh grabbed Warner and third umpire would have given out Steve Smith stumped on first ball Australia would have lost by 100 runs. So test cricket is alive by these two wins. India wins at home only and the arrogant captain will make it difficult overseas too especially by his choice of players. He still want Rohit in test side ha ha
