The Hoover Dam is an impressive engineering marvel located on the border of Nevada and Arizona. Standing at 726.4 feet (221.4 m) tall, it is one of the highest concrete dams in the United States. The dam was constructed across the Colorado River, creating the massive Lake Mead reservoir. This popular tourist destination offers several scenic outlooks, including the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge which allows vehicles to drive across the top of the dam.
