I recall watching a record for doing most doughnuts in a AWD (memory says Russ Swift, but I could be wrong), and he said that he had to back out every few seconds because the doughnuts just kept getting faster and faster, to the point where the Gs would cause him to black out.

@@living4adrenaline This is the WRC car that burned up. It's in another video on one of the hoonigan channels. Long story short, car rolled and poof up in flames it goes. I don't remember exactly what it was, I remember in the video that Ken's co-driver apologizing franticly, so maybe he made a wrong call on a turn or something that's what caused it. The car rolled multiple times settling into a treeline before promptly bursting into massive flames.

Factory built Subaru WRX & STi only last 60k miles before something goes really wrong when modified at all. They're fun to build but cost an additional $20k in parts for them not to totally brake down before 200k miles. If you buy a Subaru buy a spare motor plain and simple. Their made of recycled soda cans...

Yeah was just about to say lol, We got the Sierra in 2 variations the same model as the Merkur and the Sierra Sapphire with the same engine as this plus the escort you see here, we got it good in the U.K with some cool cars, The early Sierra/Merkur Cosworth RS500 are upwards of 100G in good condition, Only the Sapphire are slightly affordable :(

The reason AWD guys don't hoon on dry pavement is because most stock motor awd boosted 4 banger cars break within minutes of thrashing so most people have already learned their lesson, especially subarus 😂

As long as you know how to drive, an AWD car can rip handbrake turns and donuts until the tires burn off. Idiots dropping/kicking the clutch or not clutching when they rip the handbrake is what kills the diff and tranny

Owen Lee I have to respectfully disagree. When it comes to Stock awd platforms (especially 2.0 turbo) or even slightly modified awd drive cars off a lot, they are not equipped with parts capable of taking a pounding on dry pavement, maybe in the dirt/snow/rain when there is less friction but most factory awd setups (ESPECIALLY SUBARUS AND EVOS) just aren't made for that kind of beating out of the box, the motor/tranny/diff/axles etc. don't exceed the limits of load put on them when attempting to slip traction on dry pavement.

It's funny when people don't realize drifting on dry pavement puts a lot more strain on the car and its components than drifting on wet/dirt/snow/etc.

I'm one of those British people who are very patriotic, and I love British engineering like this Cosworth. Before anyone starts a riot, Ford IS an American brand but there is a Ford headquarters in the UK which makes the Focus, Fiesta, Escort, Sierra, Cortina, Sapphire, Granada, Consul and a few more. The fact that Cosworth is a British company, this Escort was specially made by Cosworth. Regardless, it is a British car since is was made for the UK market, right-hand drive and made in the UK.

Rear spoiler fact from 11 year old me. It's that shape and size for a specific reason. The cars where sillouette homogulated vs the production car. However a bright spark at Ford spotted that they hadn't stated whether it was with the boot/trunk open or closed. One massive spoiler later, a legend was born.

Zecrid group a was better than group b, besides ford messed up with group b, they were two years to late, the 2 best cars from group b were the 205 t16 evo 2 and the lancia delta s4 (they were mental), though the rs200 with development could have been up to the job, it was the dominant force in rallycross for over a decade. henri torvinen whilst leading the tour de corse (delta s4) and the championship in 86 said this car is too fast. later that day, he and sergio cresto burnt to death after crashing into a ravine.

Such a cool rare rally car, I love these things. Had hopes that DJR would use these in the ATCC out here in Australia to replace their Sierras & combat the GTRs of Nissan motorsport but then Group A became V8 Supercars & the rest is history.

Its hilarious watching Americans having no idea what there talking about with this car. Ive been lucky enough to work on these amazing machines for the last 20years. Now suddenly the fan boys are interested
