Thanks for the singing, humming really helps with knowing where you are at in the song. Thanks for the great songs your on a roll!
You have also showed me Rod Stewart's I Was Only Joking chords too. Thanks
Best part is 6:50 where he makes a mistake, laughs and realizes it might sound better with the open b string. Thanks for the great videos James.
Can I get an 'oooh-gah-chuckah!' please ?

Your thinking of the later version of this song when it got popular again by Blue Swede. BJ Thomas's version was years earlier and did not have those famous words. Hard for me to pick a winner because I like both versions.

HAHAHA, I'd give you that! Great lesson. I love how diverse you are .... Great Job!
Another great song. Thanks.
this is one of those songs that is a lot more interesting than you think thanks again
I just wanted to say. I don't comment on here a lot, but I've been watching your channel since 2014.. When it was Private ticker. I love that guitar! I was going to buy one myself, but I bought a hummingbird instead. I know, it's a completely different animal, but it does the job for most stuff. I'm lucky enough to have a Gibson j45, a J100 extra (close) Martin hd28v and a Hummingbird...among some other beaters that I have lying around. Thanks for your channel, its great!
When I saw the title of this video I was expecting to see you with a Coral Electric Sitar playing the Reggie Young lines, but seeing you with your J-200 demonstrating the chords was just as satisfying.
Beautiful arrangement. Thank you very much 🤗
your repetition technique is perfectly timed. thank you brother (again!)
Jesus you have a video on every song I listen to. Hahaha.
I think the "A" progression is much more audibly attractive than the key of "G". Superb job!!!
Brilliant JJ thank you so much for this one. 🌌🌅🌠🕊🙋♂️
Awesome song. Love your lessons. Thank you so much
NAILED IT!!! Great job
Your my Fav rythem player so naturally done 👍✅
Love that j 200 James!
Lovely chords and composition! Will definitely put this on my "to learn" list!
Very nice arrangement - works well. Thanks!
Great song almost forgot about it and great job transposing it to acoustic love the chords will try to perform it thanks
Such a great chord progression!
wow man .. i've been messing around with those same chords for a few months now ... now it all makes sense .. thx man .. love the progression
Very cool. Thanks for the lesson!
Great song!
I could see this being a “howl-fest” just before last call. Much Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks
Substitute the lyrics for "I was only Joking" and you'll see how similar the progression is.
Love your videos man; they always go to eleven!
I thought...Oh that's different then realized the intro is the walk down in "IF" David Gates. Very Cool!!
Reminds me of "I Was Only Joking by Rod Stewart".

And I was only joking reminds me of make you feel my love
Good job!
Classic!
Eyes of a New York Woman by Bj has a near identical chord sequence
I knew BJs daughter in highschool, a buddy of mine used to date her. BJ is a real nice guy.
I'm not hearing an A Ma7 on that second chord - just a straight E with the G# in the bass. On the D-G-B strings it would be 6-4-5. You can also play the chords with the descending bass starting on the open A string.
The descending progression also is similar to "Twist of Fate" as well.
The verse is similar to "I was only Joking" by Rod Stewart. A aug the Beatle chord?
Nice arrangement for sure. Definitely works well on guitar. What did they use for that twangy riff? Dobro? Great tune! Thanks for bringing forgotten wonders like this!

Electric sitar was used for the solo.
just about to jump into 'I was only joking'....
And now the reason no chord chart for this song ever made sense makes sense
Framton has a quite simular tune :-))
The climb up is not only like Starting Over, it's also like Because by the Dave Clark 5.
Opening chords are the same as Stewarts, I was only joking Intersting
A sting..
The song If by Bread also has a decending chord progression.
Bjorn Skifs would be proud of you lol. You got to add the Ogachaka also and the high notes are no easy task to master. Yup Sweeds we rock lol
Man I am surprised Spirit (Taurus) didn't sue... that walkdown on the D string is clearly stolen from Spirit!! HA!
