Hooeyman 24 Volt Spreader | Is It Worth $249?!?

Is the Hooeyman 24 Volt Spreader worth the money? Hooeyman has set out to revolutionize your seeder/spreader experience with the all new 24 volt spreader that will hold 35 pounds of your favorite food plot seed. With an adjustable harness and high quality materials the initial experience is very good. When loading the seeder, the hopper will lay flat on the ground to prevent spillage and once full, attaching the spreader to the harness makes getting started a comfortable experience. The seed dial works well and the seed is thrown from the hopper flawlessly. So, what could be a problem? Well, for one...the price. My prior Earthway seeder cost about $50 where the Hooeyman 24v Spreader is found online from $185-$250! The cost is high, but is it worth it? We will find out after the initial use. Also in this video, we share our process to collect soil samples for the proper ph balance with lime and fertilizer. Also, we will prepare a few mineral sights to ensure a healthy whitetail deer herd. Finally, we are using the BigHorn 550 and following our prior BigHorn video where we discussed the panel options. Black panel or camo panel? We make the final decision for the BigHorn 550 UTV in this video. The Tractor Supply side by side will never look the same!

Joe, on the seeder, years ago I purchased a battery operated Fimco Spreader that I attached to the front of an old 4wheeler. I purchased a quality 12 volt battery an strapped it behind the seeder. I believe it was under $500.00 when I purchased it and I have used it on small seed...clovers, brassicas, radish, etc ever since. It works great spreading evenly and the gate is precise once you calibrate it. As a senior citizen I love this thing and have retired my Earth-way many years ago. It is especially good now with my recent surgery and post recovery with the nerve damage. Bob

Hey Bob! I think the atv seeders are great. I have one and we mostly use it for lime, fertilizer and grains. My thought on the Hooeyman is that is works great and some will love it! But, if I’m using a powered spreader like you it will be attached to an atv or side by side. Its a great seeder! But we’ll see

Hey Joe, I have an Earthway seeder and love it! I also purchased the hot chick at tractor supply after the deer season for more than 50% off. I hope you and your family have a happy and healthy Easter!

Great Video Joe! I grew up in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. I remember chewing big league chew at the ball field and buying bubble tape and putting the container in my back pocket hoping people would think I had snuff lol.

I have used a spreader quite a bit turning it didn't bother me as much as toting it. Camo 👍.

Ha! Camo won by a landslide!!! I liked the black...but oh well. Y'all are the boss! And the bag spreader really doesn't bother me at all. The Hooeyman is VERY nice and well built. Just not sure it solves a problem.
