Hudaya canon was the canon of the churches undr the catholicate of the east under the Syriac Orthodox church. Since the catholicate is independent from 1912 and was reinstalled in Kerala thus this canon is the official canon of the malankara orthodox Syrian church. Although the author of this canon was a maphriyana his successors who follow this in malankara are the catholicos of the east and the malankara metropolitan.
