I've had Galaxy fold 2, 4, 5, pixel fold, and now Honor Magic V2. I adore the V2. Very underrated device, fantastic hardware and software is not nearly as bad as folks say

Was waiting for this video. But in between all this I have ordered the Honor v2. I guess the fact that it’s so slim will have an impact in my carrying it. Since I can’t get rid of my iPhone 13 mini

Just swapped from ZFold4 to OnePlus Open. It's been a fantastic change!

Prefer Honor Magic v2 slimness like a standard candy bar. The oneplus is too thick especially that huge camera island. It's really not 12mm thick. I wonder how many more mm the camera adds? Each to their own. Some like phones in massive rugged case which makes their candy bar 15mm + thin 😅

how do you feel the honor magic V2 compares to the oppo find N2 fold? in terms of camera etc?

I have them both. Love the software on the OnePlus but really enjoy the feel in hand of the Honor Magic V2. "F Off Samsung Knights!!" I love it brother. You kill me.😂

I've had my OnePlus Open since release and I can't say anything Bad about it. I just Love it. 😁

Tons of people reporting display hardware faults (dead pixels or black bars). It's the biggest gamble in foldable phones there is.

I don't know about the honor but in the U.S., the Open has the best speakers on any phone I've ever heard. They're just so damn good.

Just purchased the Oneplus Open. It's amaazingggg....😊😊😊 Best phone I hv ever had. I hv used it extensively over the last 1 week. Software is excellent. Haven't found a single bug. Seems like OnePlus has fixed everything via updates. I shifted from Samsung S series. I'd say One UI and Oxygen OS are at the same level. As per internet reviews, I thought Oxygen OS was trash. It isn't guys, trust me. The UI is amazingly beautiful and mature. Silky smooth. The Open is highly highly recommended. Go for it....👍🏻👍🏻 Note: Honor V2 is not available in India yet.

As a 1+ Open user, I'd agree with the exception of Samsung dex.

Very wise choice there coming from a very happy one plus open user. I genuinely thought you were going to fall on the side of the honor as I can see how much you love them Vivo and Xiaomi but I'm very happy to be wrong. Great comparison and I totally agree the cameras on this are amazing

I've seen a lot about people having issues with the One Plus screen, and then terrible wait times on repair. I haven't seen much about the V2 but probably cos it's only just been released globally, have you had any experience with any of your foldable's with damage and then having to go through repairs process? Not had a foldable but frequency of need for repair on such an expensive piece of kit is holding me back, even though i'm ridiculously tempted by both these devices.

Last year I was interested in buying an Honor phone but by chance I read the reviews by some owners of Honor phone on Honor Website and Trusted Reviews, they are terrible, if you have problems customer service was apparently terrible. That stops me even to consider buying one. I used to own Honor 7 which was a good phone.

I went for the honor because the camera bump on the oppo is no fkn joke. It arrived today and it's even thinner in real life buzzing with my choice

I’ve realized that there is a delay when scrolling up and down on some of the apps in the phone ( KZread - Instagram - Twitter... ) the phone on 120 frame rates, and still it didn’t fix the problem & By the way i also have honor magic 5 pro with the same issues ! When you tried the phone, did you realize the same delay ( slow ) when scrolling on some apps of the phone?i also compared it with oneplus open , scrolling is just WAY faster than the honor v2 ! Both are excellent foldable phones, but the OnePlus Open will get more updates. Honor V2 updates ? I don't know. Both of them are expensive too.

Great video! I am coming from an iPhone that has had wireless charging and I got the Magic V2 and I don't miss wireless charging at all! Why would you when but the time you take an shower and brush your teeth the V2 is back to fully charged again?? And I easily get 2 days, sometimes more out of a full charge with the V2. Nope, I do not miss wireless charging at all with my V2. Sorry but I would take the thinness of the V2 without wireless charging over a thicker V2 with wireless charging any day!

@@Ultraze92 Hello and I apologise for the late reply. I have no regrets about moving from my iPhone to the V2. I prefer the V2 in almost every way. The only thing I have noticed in switching over from my iPhone is that my music is all jumbled up on the V2's music app, for example, all my music is on the V2 but albums are not in the order they should be, ie tracks dont seem to be in the correct play order and a continuous mix album does not play continuously, it might play track 1 first but then jump to track 4 then to track 8 etc which is very frustrating. To solve this problem I just downloaded the app Musicolet and everything is now in sync and albums play in order as they should and continuous mixes play without any stopping between tracks. Would I recommend you give the V2 a try, absolutely yes! And above all is a real talking point as everyone wants to know what phone it is I am 'unfolding.' Have a great day!

I've been dithering since your first V2 vid, as have Honor. I would have bought it end November if there was a global release of ultimate then. Now there's a snappy gen 3 claiming to be 20~30% faster and stupid quick wireless changing on candies. Will I ever jump? I am ready, my mate 20pro is finally needing some replacements, battery and cameras have degraded significantly recently. OPO sounds great but camera bump looks unwieldy pixels camera bar across the top is my preferred style since it makes for stability when on its back. Your vids are accurate and on point, the only ones that pick and highlight my desires and concerns in a mobile device. The only aspect that I haven't noticed you go into much detail is prolonged high demand scenarios and throttling. Maybe I missed it but something my current phone never did but now seems jittery on occasion (maybe the failing battery). Maybe it's just not noticeable? I thought multi-tasking may push them to the brink. My phone should be One plus 12 spec with v2 dimensions pixel camera layout with mate 60+ cameras back to your mashup best phone vid.

Honor is known to support two OS upgrades for their flagship devices but can't find anything specific on the V2. OnePlus committed to 4 OS upgrades for the OnePlus Open. I think OnePlus wins this round. In general Honor has a bad rep when it comes to software such as introducing bloatware near the end of a flagships lifecycle just to squeeze some extra cash out of it.

I bought a Honor V2, ist a great device but inner screen have not totally flat. In both sides of the crease i notice an additional wave. Aniway, i love it.

Can the stylus highlight text within any app and capture it like Galaxy Z Fold S-Pen can?

Thats funny. I sold my oneplus open, kept the pixel fold AND looking to order a V2. There was some cover display typing issues I didn't like. There's some sort of palm rejection happening when typing on the edges of the display.

If the xiaomi mix fold 3 were global, where would it sit in the pecking order compared to the open and V2?

Today I had chance to try V2, I have to admit that from the hardware perspective its almost perfect. I have to tell you that I would most likely trade in Fold 5 if Honor did same 4 years of SW support. Wireless charging doesnt matter but reverse does but still whats the point if you cant reverse charge your watch while charging your phone.

I did not know that Samsung's switch app was available on non Samsung phones. Damn, I should have known that when I switched from the Z Fold 5 to my OP Open. I have been able to transfer data with the Oneplus datatransfer app. But the notes in the Samsung app could not be transferred from the Z Fold 5 to my OP Open. I have them now saved in my OneNote feed and in my Samsung account. But I would love to get them on my OP Open. Is that still possible?

My honor magic v2 arrived today. Coming from the Galaxy Tab s9 (and I’ve tried the Z fold 5), I don’t like the software as much (but it still has everything I need) and the screen isn’t as mesmerizing as the Samsungs. But it’s much nicer to write on than the Z Fold and the lightness and thinness (for Hand well being) is worth those two downgrades

I will buy the honor magic v2 porsche edition rsr the design is incredible , wish I could get one ui on it

How do you think the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 3 compares to these two? Wireless charging is kind of a biggun for me and that phone has it without the Samsung pitfalls

HEY!! I'm a Samsung Knight!! .. BUT I would have loved to have the Honor, but it took way too long to come out... And I've had two One Plus Opens up here in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.. and both had the fogging up camera lens issue... Don't know if that's still a thing... And to this day I still think about ordering both of them!

The big Cyclops camera bump is so ugly I will take the honors camera any day twice on Sunday

After seeing all your videos and trying many searches , I will stick with my fold 4 waiting for fold 6 .....Actually software in foldable phones is an essential factor of productivity, and till now no company who make foldable phone can beat samsung....till this moment . S pen is an essential factor to let me stick with galaxy fold. It is hard for me to buy a foldable phone with more than 1400 pounds and there will be a defect in software. I tried to swipe to iphone 15 pro max and buy an ipad instead of holding a foldable phone, actually i became addicted to my fold 4 ....once you hold a fold you can not go back

I currently have a Samsung s10 5g, the camera is amazing, is the magic v2 camera even better?

I think Samsung has the last chance to prove themselves this year for a lot of people... They deliberately withhold upgrades (like front screen s pen support) etc. Dont change the design etc. But now people have choice. Last chance Samsung...

HONOR Magic v2 is my daily phone from the last 3weeks. I love it's design. Battery life just overall experience. However if i have a chance to switch to OnePlus open I'll probably do. Because of the camera 😊

The issue is the honor v2 is great hardware but the software is pretty trash, definitely the worse android skin around. The oneplus open is better but i didn't like the feel of the front display...has a kind of hollow display and with the noisy haptics didnt make it feel right...add onto that poor wifi . The fold 5 for me still give you the best foldable experience if you dont mind the skinny front display

Why does no Reviewer mentions that the Oneplus Open is screwed by the HDR bug while watching KZread or Netflix?

@@Ronnet Because an advertised feature is not working as it should be? i mean if you like it anyways good for you. its no secret at all just google it or compare your open against another flagship in hdr content and you will see the difference clearly

Other than wishing the V2 had a better zoom camera, the current Qualcomm chip and (Qi2) wireless charging, I wish the outer screen was flat. I would have went with Xiaomi without a doubt had it been launched globally.

I want to jump on the honor over oneplus but being in the us, its hard to make that jump knowing the chance of having issues here.

I've reviewed my own Honor Magic Vs - it's OS has a big room for improvement. Hence, my vote goes to OnePlus

If you take the V2 look, weight, battery and design out of the equation... Its a pretty trashy phone. I have them both... the software experience and the camera are just really bad on V2. Maybe the V3 will improve.

To be honest the con most people have about no wireless charge does not make any difference to me. I have bought multiple phones where a wireless charger were included, and the fun part is they have never been used and the reason why is because it does not seem logical to me. To put in the wireless charger only for the phone to ring the next minute to be discharged for me to take the call is idiotic and seems like me putting a battery in the charger only for me to take the battery out multiple times in the middle of charging, and when you consider both phones have ultra speed charge above 60-80w it makes no sense to use wireless charge which take an hour + instead of 30-40 minutes charge of 0-100, and if we have to take in the fact that both of these phones have insane battery management were you in nearly any use cases end up the day with at least 45+ battery left it make no sense to even consider wireless charge. 45+ battery + 60-80w charge = less than 25 minute full charge versus 50-60 + minutes wireless i personally would take wired charge anyday & anytime over wireless, at the end of the day i still have 3 unsued wireless chargers un-open laying in my drawer but they were free so no loss either way :D.

I thought HarmonyOS was the Huawei operating system and Honor ran MagicOS?

Writing from OnePlus...sold v2. There is no comparison.... Camera. Battery and screens.... The v2 screen is trash quality. The honor software is trash.... It chooses apps to run on 60fps and others 120fps. And like the vs, the v2 henge after couple of months became a Chinese knockoff cheap henge.

It's the only foldable with serious camera screen speakers and battery life all in one... Beside software wise there is no comparison with this new multitasking implementation
