Thanks for the review! Looks like Honor 200 wins in most situations. I like the skin tone on Honor looks more lively or warm. But coincidentally, I too have tested out today the Honor 200, A55 and A35 in local stores nearby. Preordered Honor afterwards, coz love how good the camera is with the Harcourt features. Launch on 28/6/24 in my country.

I've been looking for a pretty solid midrange camera smart phone. I reckon I found one. Honor 200❤

Honor is good, but for the design? Nah. Why is a company nowadays making such an ugly phone design? Make it simple and minimalist, then you got my taste

Could you please do a compariaon between honor 200 and xiaomi 13t?

Honor has a better portrait and zoom but the dynamic range is better on a55 even on night time. The honor appears sharp and so on because it is contrasty but the a55 is better exposed, highlights are not blown out and the shadows are not crushed and well exposed most of the time. You can see on both photos and videos that the honor tends to produce darker results when against the light or just in general. Samsung selfie video is better exposed here: 1:54 , the trees in this part too 2:18, look at the video at 3:02 to 3:31 the sky is not harsh on the a55, the dynamic range is good, the shadows are lifted the trees, the pedestrians, when you switched to zoom on 3:50 look at the roof, its not dark on the a55, the facade of the building is also lifte on a55 and its not dark, on selfie video on 5:10 the a55 is a bit more jittery but look at the dynamic range and exposure, look at the background at 5:10 and the face, look at the door at 6:29 and building, its just better, and in 6:41 samsung handled it better, just look at the floor, the trees. But I really like the optical zoom and portraits of the Honor 200 ngl.

Honor is nailing every shot and front video even telephoto shots.

Good video! :) Having an A55 still atm, as i bought it in March. If i would knew sooner that the Honor 200 series will come global, not much after the A55, i wouldn't bought it i think, but rather wait a bit more. I like the A55, but the camera is weak for my taste. However, the 200 series ( with both 200 and Pro version. :) ) come with a great offer in Hungary too in the preorder time period, ( Gift >>>100W Charger, which should be a basic thing with the phone ( from all companies, not just from Honor), but hey at least anyone will get it as a preorder gift + the Honor Pad 8 Tablet. :) In this preorder, it's a no-brainer offer i guess, i went for the Pro, and can't wait to have it, and test it on July 1st or after a few days as i get it, in many aspects it's better than the 200. :) Really a great phone, and i think it stands out from it's competitors like the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra/Galaxy S24/S23 FE and maybe the Xiaomi 14, which are pricier, and the Xiaomi is not this big and not as good in the camera department. My only complain would be, that it's not at least IP 67/68 water&dust resistant, and as far as i know, we only get 3 major Android updates, so last one will be 17, and only 4 years of security updates, these are the only weaknesses, but it's still an allrounder banger imo! I See price in Hungary right now, it is absolutely a steal with honor pad 8! Really! Much cheaper when compared to German 500 euros for Honor 200 (they add charger and cheap earbuds only).

Portrait shots on Honor 200 are flagship level. While I haven't liked the dull colours on A55, still the video quality is quite decent on A55.

Difference is big which I didn't expect

Had the honor 90 and I upgraded to Honor 200 pro...not much difference really. Camera is similar (except the Harcourt portrait which h90 doesn't have) but overall a very similar experience. Difference in price is about 200-259 euros so if you want to save some cash, go for the h90

Both priced very similar

You feel Samsung using cameras from back 2017 while Honor 200 using cameras from flagships 2024 phones in a midrange phone. Hilarious comparison and more hilarious people still buying samsung phones. Great video. Thank you once again

Honor 200 clearly beats the sh**tt out of Samsung A55, albeit I've always been a fan of Samsung but it seems Samsung have lost it in midrange segment. Except for ip67 and amoled and a tortoise 25watt, Samsung doesn't have much to offer to its midrange and upper midrange. I am commenting from my Samsung a15 4G.
