I digitised this film by projecting the 16mm print and filming the screen directly from my iPhone, so the quality could be better. As for all my father's documentary films, if someone out there is interested in the 16mm film for archiving purposes please contact me - I do not have the room to store the films and they are degrading with time so it would be good for them not to be lost.

1:27-1:34 Looking at Hai Phong Mansion (海防大廈) from Nathan Road, this building still exists.

Beautiful warm colors. Love the shots of the Tiger Balm Gardens. What a pity that the Hong Kong CCP Government destroyed the neon culture that defined Hong Kong.
Water Beetles are protein rich insects. In the O days, Chinese boiled them, removed insert skins, White colour protein is ready for serve. I saw this before but haven't taste this insects.

Those water beetles are now extinct because of urban developments and severe pollution. They can't survive.
