Hong Kong Vlogging Test: Sigma 16mm F1.4 / Sony A6500 / Rode Videomic Pro+ / EOSHD Pro Color

Ғылым және технология

This is some footage I shot to test a new setup I have for vlogging and videography. Footage was shot on a Sony A6500 with Simga Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens and a Rode VideoMic Pro+. Additionally I tried using the EOS HD Pro Color 3.0 Picture Profile (Original) www.eoshd.com/pro-color/. All video is a mixture of 4K and 1080P, taking straight from the camera with no colour correction or audio equalization.

    Hi Lachlan, really enjoyed this video. And you couldn't have picked a better music score for your video. You seem to have an uncanny sense of how to pair your music to your videos, and vice versa. I enjoyed this video so much that I am going to watch it again later this evening. :)) Oh and GUESS WHAT arrived in the mail last week !?!?!?! My Mass Senns HD6xx's ! ! ! OMG, I can't believe the sound I'm getting from these ! ! I'm soooo in love with the sound signature these cans are dishing out. These cans are worth every penny in my book. Right now I'm using it for just about everything [gaming, music, movies, etc], but I also have a ModMic 5.0 that I have attached to it. That way I can game with it [squad chat, discord, etc], watch a movie on my computer, listen to music, etc anything I want to do with it. These headphones are outstanding man ! ! ! ! The bass is DEF there whenever explosions go off. But the low freq's don't steal the show. Theyyyy jussst seem to be utterly in perfect sync at all times ! ! !

    I really liked your video. I had no problem with the audio, but...perhaps I'm crazy...it seemed like the autofocus was off. Particularly on your face. The subway shot was sharp, but it seemed like the outdoor shots didn't have you sharply focused. Could it be the summer humidity or the lens?

    @lachlanlikesathing dude I just found out about this lens and was debating on using on a 5100 vs 6500. I want flip screen but know 6500 4k looks so good. Does it bother you that you can't see when you're in frame? Also just subscribed.

  • @lachlanlikesathing

    @lachlanlikesathing

    I worry less about not seeing myself with this lens because the angle is so wide, so as long as I am staring into the lens and arms length I’m going to be in frame. I like my A6500 since it adds image stabilisation with this lens as well. One last thing to consider is that the A6500 has a mic input and a hotshoe mount if you later want to get an external mic!
