Hong Kong sand artist turns beaches into giant canvases | AFP

For ten years, artist Derek Yung has created massive sand drawings on beaches in Hong Kong. Using just a wooden pole and a garden rake, he transforms the sandy beach into giant artworks that stretch along the shoreline. While etching patterns on the sand, he says he takes inspiration from the natural landscape including the nearby rocks, rivers and tides.
