Urban expansion of HK is pretty small though it has 1k+ sq. km land area but mostly covers with high mountains and hills.that is why there expansions is to build more vertical appartments thus, it makes HK. more skyscrapers City in the world.

Riding the tram on the top deck is lots of fun. Check Chunking Mansions. Kowloon, many African people there.

If you see Shanghai, Hong is like 10th of Shanghai and the nightlife in Shanghai is the best in the world. You would really enjoy China if you could get visa to go there. Maybe you could apply for it at the next country you visit. Try your best to go China. China is a fantastic place.

I second that there are so many more great cities in mainland China that most foreigners don’t know about. I don’t know if it’s because western media is so desperately fixated on creating the illusion that China is still poor and underdeveloped. China has dozens of dozens of hyper futuristic cities with a huge blend of flavours and cultures. I myself am Chinese but I dream of travelling China because I haven’t had the chance.

Yes your right your not applying visa just go there and the give you a 14 days visa on the immigration arrival area 14 days visa is a tourist visa I love HK then canada 🇨🇦 I work in HK for 11 years as a Nannie’s I found a nice employer the treat me as a member of there families I always stop over there in every time that I take my vacation

Wow, it looks so different as it did when I was there! I had a 1-week booking there way back during the changeover, in 97, before the internet, when people used paper maps😜! Not long enough, but I was so shocked by the skyscrapers! The amount, the distance between them, and the frequency that they were built. Not to mention the bamboo-building scalpels etc... Enjoy

@@AFRICANTIGRESS It was still a metropolitan but mixed with old decrepit buildings in between, and a little awkward because of the "English" people leaving... but I enjoyed it. Did taichi outside, randomly with strangers, loved that! I wanted to go again but now, it's too much political drama for me at this age. Still hoping to visit again though... I'll be in Kenya this summer, for the 1st time😜and I was in Senegal the past December, it was so much fun, it was fashion week...

I’m glad u visit hongkong, is really amazing place? Been live they’re for 6 years before I come to United estate? Ms everything especially fresh veggies fish and also they have nice shopping mall ?

The Hongkongers speak Hong Kong Cantonese, not Chinese mandarin, it’s different language. And they are Hongkongers, not Chinese…. We all know China army 🇨🇳already take control of Hong Kong🇭🇰, but it’s not Hongkongers wish. So please don’t say Hong Kong is China or Hongkongers are Chinese in front of the locals or on the internet, it would make them mad. Almost of Asians do not call Hongkongers as Chinese, because it’s a word for Hongkonger in their Asian language. For example, 私は香港人ですwatashi wa honkon jin desu. Or 홍콩 사람입니다. It’s mean I’m Hongkonger. Everything of Hong Kong is still running like a country, HK dollars, HK passport, HK ID card, HK visa , UK law etc. There have customs between China and Hong Kong, they need to sign visa for entrance. But Hong Kong a very sad story. She was belongs to Qing Empire, and a colony of UK since 1842 - 1997. Qing Empire is Ended in 1912. Her age is older than the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China. But finally She’s not lucky like Singapore can be independent. Some of politicians from different countries know the differences between China and Hong Kong. But No one face this truth, no one dare to remind of the word of “Hongkongese” or “Hongkonger”, it’s just because of Hong Kong is in controlled by China army. The winner wrote the history what they wants, no one care about anything about loser. Yes, People's Republic of China is the winner now. I’m not explaining how special is Hong Kong. I’m just treasure and respect my hometown and my people. She’s a little place with weak cultural exports and soft power, so we have responsibilities to tell people what’s Hong Kong. The Hongkongers are original from the coastal areas of classic southern Qing Empire, over than 80% of their ancestors included the new immigrants from Canton are fisherman like Tanka, Fuklou and Hakka group. Their ancestors lived on the ocean for many years and moved to the land since Qing Empire. That’s why now we can still find so many fishing cultures in the villages of HK. They speak different dialects, but since Qing Empire to 1850s, they learned Cantonese step by step for communication and finally developed the Hong Kong-Cantonese, we can call it Hongkongese. And some of them are mixed with Southeast Asian blood. It’s absolutely different than the northern china and mandarin culture. Nowadays the southern china included the coastal areas are already covered and controlled by mandarin culture over than 200 years. That’s why the Hongkongers can not fit in China. The Hongkongers are absolutely different group of people with the China or Qing Empire. They are a ethnic group from different ocean ethnic groups, but they don’t have any choices for their ethnic group. What’s Chinese? What’s China? For example,The Indian, Pakistan and Bangladesh at the same time that they are the same people, before they are all Indians. Why no one call them Pakistan Indians, Bangladesh Indians? Who wrote this history? Who changed their blood? Winner explained, wrote and edited the history. #hongkonger #hongkongese #hongkong

African Tigress, great to see in HK, am your long-time loyal follower from mainland China. It's true HK has the most expensive real estate in the world, but Shenzhen, a neighboring city on mainland China has the highest concentration of skyscrapers in the world and also has the most number of billionaires after overtaking Beijing. It has 113 while New York has 110 billionaires. Shenzhen also has the base of many Chinese high-tech companies including DJI drones company. If you get a chance, pay a visit and you will be amazed to see the future in the present. But to visit the whole of China, you will need more than a month as it's another world of its own. And not forgetting 7 of the 10 tallest buildings in the world are located in China.
