Did you have to notify anyone that you were bringing a drone? Did you have trouble getting through customs with one?

No trouble at customs, no need for permit for recreational use. Its possible to fly, I came back yesterday. Cops said they would arrest but the law clearly states you can fly. NOTE: Fly safely, 7 KM away from airport, 50 m away from buildings and people, stay under 300 feet. Safe travels!
