Hong Kong: A family's journey to escape to the UK

Tens of thousands of Hong Kongers have applied for a special visa offered by the British government to come and live in the UK after China cracked down on democracy in the city.
Sky News has followed one family who has taken up that offer and relocated from their much-loved home for a life of freedom in Liverpool.

thanks to the UK style of education in Hong Kong before, nowadays, people at the age of 40 and up are well educated and able to speak, listen and write English to a certain good extent. I think that they can mingle with the UK society after some time of immigration. For me, I had been to the UK for a few times, it is still better to visit occasionally than to stay forever in England as the job in Hong Kong pays higher, with lower salary tax, at the rate of 15%. Wishing those who leaves for the UK all the best, and good luck for those who stay in Hong Kong like me. : )

Those crossing the channel in general do not have those qualities but that is because they both start from different countries with a very different problem .Hong Kong is a vibrant well educated peoples [be it now under a not very democratic ruler] where those from Africa etc: do not have those qualities and like it or not ALL countries have certain requirements for entry .
