Miley is heavily underrated as a singer, sure she is still a media sensation, but her voice is so unique and versatile despite her country-heavy upbringing. Compared to Selena and Demi, she has the most consistently good albums (as Miley not Hannah). But throw in the Hannah-albums, and she's just as consistent. and now that she's gone full 80s rock with her magnificent album Plastic Hearts, she has finally cemented herself as a powerhouse vocalist.

Miley is truly the most versatile and consistent ex-Disney star, and she's still overlooked and underappreciated in this industry. Her voice suits most of the stuff she does, it's crazy.

she was touring A LOT and barely got any sleep throughout the years, smoked all night, drank a lot, and just talked extremely much, and that damaged her voice. She was evaluated for tonsillitis and so she went on a surgery November 2019. “and now this is kinda where we’re at”.

Miley had competed worn out her voice by the middle of 2019. She could barely make it through Wrecking Ball. She had to let the audience sing most of the song and her voice was just shot. She short after got emergency vocal surgery and came back with more rasp in her voice and it’s the best I’ve ever heard her. Her refined tone now is so fucking iconic.

Other people already confirmed that she had surgery but, in terms of details, during her interview with Zane Lowe from Apple she mentioned that the surgeon who operated on her cords said that the damage was similar to singers who get that same surgery at 65 or older. Something along those lines. So that's some heavy damage

I love her! I am Mileys fan since Hannah Montana. No matter what she do or what she sing. She is so talented and open person. Glad U made this film. U R great 2 ♡♡♡

2013 was a very hard year for her. She probably should have taken some time off, but if she did that we wouldn’t have had Bangerz. But I’m assuming her breakup with liam and her dog dying was the reason for the tension. Probably severe anxiety in there.

I just want her to do updated covers of her breakout album, like 4 walls, bottom of the ocean, 7 things. i feel like that album had her punk rock attitude trapped behind an industry pop sound, and she wrote all but one of those songs so I feel like her voice now would be so powerful behind them. i wonder if the reason she hasn't sung them since is because of a disney contract.

I didn't really get into Miley Cyrus' older music (watched Hannah Montana just not for the music) but her recent stuff is making me a new fan

She did have vocal surgery but in late 2019. She said in an interview her vocal cords were badly damaged from talking and singing too much and it's typically more common in elderly people. She said growing up in her career from a young age, she wasn't taught the care to make sure her vocal cords could last a long time. So she's thankful she could get that fixed and actually understand how to care for her vocal cords.

Big Miley fan here. Was completely enchanted at her bangerz tour here in the states. Tho I love music I have specific connective tissue conditions called Ehlers Danlos syndrome lupus & sjgrons which all make my mouth dry & my vocal chord tissues/diaphragm/larynx/rib cage/even jaw bones (& almost all of my bones in fact lol) constantly slip out of place nor do my lungs fully inflate & I have an excessively large tongue with severe sinus issues. Would it be possible to even be vocally trained? I myself cannot read music but I love to sing so much! Are there any special exercises specifically tailored to me I could do?? I had a vocal coach in the past but she was ignorant of my special needs & ended up damaging my chords for a bit.
