Really happy you told us this was not a freebie because that makes your review worth watching and listening to. Those channels that get freebies are nothing more than paid commercials. They have no value to anyone wanting to buy the vehicle because those guys want more freebies so only mention the positives.

Thank you very much the recent maxx slash deal really showed how bad this is when it went from great to the rc has problems there are good channels out there yes too many skip over anything that might be deemed negative for fear of loosing a sponsor thank you for watching and the comment

It is a decent hobby grade budget car that can be upgraded. The performance was about what I expected out of small scale buggy of that size. I agree they could have added some better shocks and better motor with more speed. But would I want that for my grandchild just learning? No it is fine as is till they learn how to respect the power. It can be upgraded later on. Great review enjoyed watching the drive video on the windy day.

Rlarlo production rate is like 500 cars per month. You can have yours in 5 years. Maybe. If you are lucky.

Lol its actually only has 1 o Typhon the name comes from Greek Mythology of a giant serpant that fought Zues for power and lost I only know because I looked it up when I did the video for the 6s one but it does make you think of the storm

You should see what it takes to make the Typhon perform like the WL toys… shocks, gears, motor… whatever it takes… people would love to know how much they have to spend and do to make the two rigs equal…

Yeah the WL toys is going to perform better out of the box. Same as any of the other Chinese companies that make them will. There’s tons of them on Amazon. Me personally I enjoy working on my RC cars. Honestly I don’t think I own a RC car that isn’t modified. I think Arrma released this to get new enthusiasts into the hobby and offer upgrades for those people like me who will upgrade them. I’ll definitely be buying one…

That's why they put metal gears in there and sell the plate to remove the esc that holds the servo they know we are going to crank it up. Maybe make a tlr tuned version that would be cool

Very nice. I like how you just jumped into the video without some flashy entro. I do like the blue body better than the red. I switching over to smart batteries as well. The Grom has a fair amount of power stock. I really should get a temp gun and Spectrum battery checker. I guess it likes to pick up sticks and rocks real easy as seen in other videos. I do like the upper suspension arms. It's small but seems to have enough room to fit a nice motor and ESC. Anyways ... Excellent job showing the car. It's tempting to get one and mod it out. 👍👍🏁🏁

I just posted a video with a brushless upgrade that is the one thing with it being so low it gets hung up easily other than that its a cool little car especially on brushless

Made for a track

This has a larger pinion than the Granite version, as I recall. Not surprised to see it get warm, even with a fan. What an amazing entry level rig. Only reason I haven't bought two is because I read there is a Senton Grom on the way. Edit: put the remote on it's nose and handle. Has little nubs to act as a stand.

Looks like they are targeting the Amazon market of 100 dollar cars this will be interesting. Someone told me the remote trick on my unbox I missed that part although I still wish it stood up it takes up less space. Thank you for watching and the comment

The larger pinion offsets the speed with the smaller tires

My typhon grom is on the Workbench because the sx110 servo is not working properly. It's not centering back, and I tried to correct it, but it swings off, and I turn it the left and right it stays stuck to the right. I have the grom for 2 months.

Sucks that happened but good thing anything Horizon hobby you have a 2 year warranty. Go to Horizon Hobby website click contact us and either do a live chat or shoot an message to them tell them whats happening just need proof of purchase I have never had a problem getting parts replaced

@L2theWcarscoffeelife I ordered a 45 dollar servo for the typhon, and I noticed inside the servo gears there was a pebble I thought it was jamming the gears but the servo doesn't align straight into center when I turn to the left and sometimes centers back in the middle but ya I haven't contacted horizon. With the pebble in the servo, I checked all gears, no broken pieces of any gears.

I just purchased this for my son and I as our first car and we love it. Very new into the hobby. I saw WL Toys mentioned. Are they reputable? I usually stay away from Chinese knockoffs especially on Amazon. But they seem to have good reviews. Are the RC cars they make good for entry level novices like ourselves? Thanks!

I have review videos on them I have a brushed and brushes version. They have been around and seem pretty well made I think you would be happy with one of them. Parts are plentiful on Amazon or Bangood thats nice that they are repairable I was impressed with them

cool glad she is playing with the rc cars its kind of a forgotten hobby. The Sledge is a big powerful car probably too much for a child you can do some damage with it. This is perfect very easy to handle not a lot of power and with the flip of a switch you dial it back. Thank you for the support lots more reviews and other content coming @@carsandfunnys5750

Its definitely not for everyone being so low really limits any off road but its a good budget car to get people in the hobby. I never drove a Stampede it looks ok if you need the ground clearance and want the monster truck deal if your looking for handling for a track or fast running the rustler is a good choice.
