@@grishmashringarpure3160 just 2 questions 1. Is this 2.5 hours of video lectures everyday or is it the total combined effort including practise, revision, assignment and video lectures 2. Are you in diploma level or foundation level, and if in foundation level , is your final term exam concluded.

This course is a unique experiance even when you ahve a job and good career you can do it for just the experience .it is fun.

@@yasasrikalluri9565 No, College assumes that you are a computer layman and many of our batchmates are doctors or doing a biology based degrees so there is no such requirement.

This program is very challenging. Not from the very fact that syllabus get harder overtime. Its about self motivation and eagerness to learn which has to come from your side. This course will see way more dropouts than usual courses. But if you complete this. This will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Other than the prospect of having a high paying job is that you have to see if you really like something you want to pursue. To me this one of the best course out there if you wanted to learn Data Science. IITM has made sure to make this a great program. But nevertheless, there is other colleges you can pursue similar courses and also enjoy your time being in the college. This course will always be there. You can always opt in incase if others doesn’t workout for you.

@@rachit5762 IIT Madras doesn't give campus placement ,but they will guide you for off campus placement Or you can pursue 1year master degree in data science after bsc and get a high paying job Bcoz data science is an emerging sector

They are not exposing, they are boasting about this IIT madras Bsc degree. These type of interviews don't expose the reality of IIT madras Bsc degree. They absolutely didn't talk anything about placements because they know there won't be any. Creating more jobless computer science graduates. You should only eat that you can digest. This is the harsh reality of this IIT Madras online Bsc degree and recruiters are not stupid. They know that these thousands of students do not have required industry skills and they do not came to IIT through JEE advance. Who do you think they would pick - B.Tech computer science graduate who came through JEE advance or this IIT Madras Bsc graduate who came through extremely easy paper conduced by IIT Madras, which thousands easily clear

I get a sense that the girl being interviewed has a very different take than most other students. Perhaps coz she has a CGPA of "9". But I can assure that this is not the view of the majority of the students studying in this course. Perhaps because we are "average" students and do not get the support that we need. In fact, I have personally been scoffed at multiple times by the instructors for asking "stupid" questions during doubt clearing sessions. It is very humiliating.

It must be good for learning but not for those who want placements( to which it will come down to sooner or later). Less than 1% can expect placement so why don't you prepare for other competitive exams. And if u really want to learn than u can do it from courses on edx by MIT, Harvard and have similar course structure to this. She is coming from the side having rank 2 out of 10k students and 9+ cgpa ; ofcourse she will get placement. But even if everyone of 10k students learn whole heartedly score good then also rank will differ(not everyone can be 1st) which ultimately will decide placement. You need to understand there are approximately 100-200 students of oncampus competing for data science placements, so the chances of even 1% of 10k (100) of online students is extremely less.

How is the placement in this ? @@nishantnath2668 bro, everybody knows skills matter at the end, but why do you think there is cutting edge competition for traditional b.tech programs at IIT (especially CSE). Skills can be developed in tier 3 engineering colleges too, but everybody wants IIT because after getting there you won't struggle for good placements as compared to tier -3 engineering students who have to depend on off campus placements and only exceptional students grab that with much more hard work. According to your logic, why do we even need degree system. It's because pursuing degree helps you developing required industry skills not only technical but also soft skills.

Frustration at its best.. Bro first thing, be a B.Tech or M.Tech, if you can not do the things companies demand, you are not gonna crack an interview! I HAVE SEEN BIGGIE BTECHS who are from IITs and they struggle in moderate web developmemt skills.. Being very honest its all upto you! IF YOU CAN GAIN THE SKILL, big comapnies can hire you at the level of 2nd year student like Rituraj was hired by Google because he pointed the bug out.. So it depends on the labour and effort you put in.. Degree is just a filtering criteria for jobs, rest is your own hardwork and skills.

They manage every possible was to make learning easy and smooth for us . Events are organized regularly and the most the most important think is , we don't feel like being an online student . "Studying at IIT was a dream" , why it was? cause getting in IIT is tough. (this is coming from a guy who is studying in one of the top 7 IITs in core branch), and what happens when 7000 people are enrolled in some online course, claiming to give IIT degree? IITs are considered good institutes cause the entrance is overly competitive, those 2 years people literally slog day and night, go through a cruel counselling process, and then land a seat into these institutes. 100+ chapters, 1000s of concepts, 2 set of exams, jee main, jee adv, race against time and luck. 2 attempts, and you are 16-20 year old when you crack it. It is not "IIT" tag which make these institutes great, it is the students who filter through a gruesome process, representing the cream of the nation, it is an emotion for us. Millions of students flock to kota, few thousand make it. No online degree, no wild card entry, no other exam, entry process, can ever take its place, IITians are those who do a penance of 2/3 years and get the trophy. Rest is politcs, and business.

@@gyanendra3711 IIT is just overhyped colleges . I did not study in IIT means I'm a dumbass? . Just remove the salry Pakage none of them join in IIT

Is there is any need to go 👉🏻 iitm 👈🏻 campus within degree duration....

@@rishav3535 No, there is no limit. If you qualify the qualifiers exam, then only you can join.

I see the current batch enrollment last date is Dec 15. Will there be another batch ? If so, when will it be ? Thanks for your inputs

Ok, I wanna get in on the basis of JEE-based entry, so if I qualified FOR JEE adv, will I be allowed to take 4 courses or those implications will be applied to me?

Can you please tell me the syllabus for the qualifier exam ? That is, the exam you write after you fill out the application...

When hundreds of candidates passing out of the traditional degree of IIT not able to do anything or joining railway group D what bsc degree will change?

Yes, I absolutely agree with you bro. These type of interviews don't expose the reality of IIT madras Bsc degree. They absolutely didn't talk anything about placements because they know there won't be any. Creating more jobless computer science graduates. You should only eat that you can digest. This is the harsh reality of this IIT Madras online Bsc degree and recruiters are not stupid. They know that these thousands of students do not have required industry skills and they do not came to IIT through JEE advance. Who do you think they would pick - B.Tech computer science graduate who came through JEE advance or this IIT Madras Bsc graduate who came through extremely easy paper conduced by IIT Madras, which thousands easily clear
