This song would be perfect as a OST, because of the lyrics I thought of Hotel del Luna. Jihyo wrote the lyrics, composed and directed the recording of this song. The story behind is funny, Jihyo wrote the song from the perspective of her cactus that died because she forgot to take care of it. Nayeon said that she almost cried with the lyrics and after Jihyo told her the story behind it, she found it funny how emotional she was while singing it lol

This song is about cactus that Jihyo brought when She , Jeongyeon, and Sana try to gardening in Twice tv. The cactus name is ANG. Recently the Cactus is dried and dead cause Jihyo kinda busy and didn't take more attention to her cactus. So Jihyo write this lyrics from cactus perspective. This is my Favorite one. It's just a cactus story but i'm getting emotional when i listen to it :) Can't wait for 3 subunit songs. Not really sure it's your taste but i just wanna see your reaction for it 😁🤣

I actually love this song overall, the lyrics, the composition, the instrumentals, etc. our god Jihyo never disappoints. But sometimes i can't help myself not to laugh bec I remember when Jihyo said that she dedicated it to her cactus Ang and Nayeon was laughing at her bec of that bec Nayeon sang it with full of emotions then remember it was dedicated to her cactus lmao. But overall everything about this song is a masterpiece.

I never come to imagine myself liking Momo's voice. Ever since I heard Signal and Likey, I was sure that I won't be stanning Twice. I am not ONCE. But when Scientist released, I gave a try in listening to it and I really liked it. So, it made me wanna hear the full album actually. Formula of Love: The very first ever Twice album I actually heard everything in its content. If you will ask me about Twice, I only know about their famous title tracks, other than that, nothing more. But that was before. Formula of Love had changed the trajectory of my life. It made me realize how amazing Twice is (which I failed to see before when they debuted). Now back to Momo, as I've said, I never ever liked her. Even she's good dancer, but hearing her sing makes me wanna cover my ears. BUT THAT WAS BEFORE. Upon hearing Cactus, she definitely improved and I really liked her voice even in Scientist. Do you really believe that the song is simply about a cactus? I know what Jihyo has said but Kpop groups actually hide true stories such as love affairs and come up with an easier explanation. I believe that this is actually about a relationship no matter what Jihyo tries to convince us otherwise and it is from the POV of the girl who craves for love, but not getting much from her so-called boyfriend. The love has since withered just like the cactus since it is lacking the attention it needs.

@@cate9963 emmmmm, its a possibility, but I don´t like to make movies inside my head or make theories about that things, I mean...its fun to do it but its not the truth, and you can´t prove it, Jihyo told us that she wrote that song remembering her cactus and thats the only truth that we know, anything other than that is just theories that probably will never be confirmed, like when the onces said that cry for me was a song that Jihyo wrote to Kang Daniel. But hey...Jihyo is a great songwritter, she wrote Up no More remembering her insomnia nights and the feeling of being alone, and now, she is a great composer with Cactus.

This song may be seemingly about a cactus, but I think Cactus is just a metaphor. Kpop idol members are not going to out there explain that it is about their relationship, period. I actually think it is about one of the members' personal relationship. Whether it is true or not doesn't matter because this song really captures a sense of being neglected and a sense of uncertainty, so it is a masterpiece! I also like the words of "I have no choice but to stand up" and "I will be fine." It is such an encouragement for someone lost in the dark that they will be fine!

sana, momo and tzuyu's voice stood out so much to me in this whole album. they sound SO FREAKING GOOD and I'm so glad they gave them so many chances to it show off because oh my god 🥲🤲🏼♥️♥️♥️

Besides jihyo's reference, I think the song perspective is someone who was left out, and cant move on from a past relationship because of his/her attachment. I have experienced this once in my life,

Twice has a video called Home Gardening where Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Sana were looking for hobbies, and Sana chose gardening as a potential hobby. Jihyo didn't really want to do it but wanted to support her members and their hobbies, so she tagged along. During the video, they planted cactuses in little pots that they could keep at home and Jihyo ended up loving hers so much that she even named it. But she ended up neglecting it and when it died she felt so bad that she wrote a song from its point of view as if it could tell her what it thought of their relationship as it realized it was being left out to dry. I believe that's also where the "embraced me moistly" lyric comes from.
