Taeyeon said that because INVU was quite grand, so this time with this mini album, she wanted sth minimal and comfortable, focusing more on telling stories and easy to listen to. So to me, they are doing well with that intention. The title is not too hyped, very good to chill for winter. No belting, not too many highnotes. And sometimes, that's all we need However, the quality is not missed. The whole album is off the charts for me. Not to mention that Taeyeon wrote lyrics for All for nothing *it broke my heart while listening*

I think Taeyeon is so smart. This is exactly what she needed to do: cut down the excpectations to always be grand and serve bangers after bangers. It could be lethal to any great artist to try to keep up with the pressure from public and company. She didn't cut down the quality but serves us minimalistic vocal driven little stories. Theres no 'high belting' that people are so much after, but let's try to sing these 'simple' songs with taeyeon... 😹

This song is catchy, and the way she is flowing is amazing really addictive, all for nothing is a ballad song, the lyrics is by her which make it more sad, melt away is just a very unique song, fabulous is my fav, burn it down is just so good, queen taeyeon doesn’t know how to release a bad songs

Taeyeon said, To.X and Melt away were 2 song that consider to make it into single, then she chose to.x more bcz it makes more symbolize and also its public catchy song. Nowdays people more listen to catchy song than something grand song. AND it's Proved by charting in the top 5 all music chart in just 1 day tracking ❤🎉

In my bias opinion this is one of the best mini album from her, my prev fav was something new. If you listen to the genre this album also bring something new, something fresh that Taeyeon could pulled up! The definition no skip album!

I like the song because I can listen to it all day without feeling too much or too heavy. I think the upside down scenes in the mv symbolize how she realizes that her boyfriend always thinks about himself, so everything that she used to feel normal turn into abnormal.

I too don't skip any tracks in INVU album bc maaaan it's literally a non skip album! Just perfect, no matter I randomly play any tracks or in order, the songs in the album are just so good and a good fit to be in one album. For this mini album, the title track To X is kinda giving What Do I Call You and a lil bit of Something New vibes imo, makes it sound somehow tastier(?) 😂 (idk what I'm saying) anw I love it. Simple instrumental, yes maybe kinda sounds flat but as always, it sounds perfect w her voice in it~ Burn It Down and All For Nothing are currently my fav bsides in this mini album

The only reason why I like TAEYEON so much, is that her music is cohesive and relatable. A bunch of her music are growers. So maybe later, it might grow on you. Like spark, something new, 11:11… It’s not too extreme, it’s not over the top kpop. It’s just chill and vibey. That’s why I appreciate TAEYEON because she’s not afraid to tell it how it is. I feel you didn’t mean to say flat, I feel like you meant to say subtle. I didn’t like it at first either, but after listening to the album, to. X makes sense.. it will tell a story. That's what I thought about Taeyeon too! I feel like most soloist have a "comeback" sounding title track everytime they release new album/mini album. That is why I like Taeyeon more cuz the vibe of her songs and also the reason she's the first soloist I stan.

About the MV...i dont know if you notice...in the very beginning, the door put CIS...then, in the red book, put his name is NAR...and put SIS a couple of time to finally see that is Narcissist...i think that maybe is because some times like he made something that reflect this behavior but she did not notice..,but finally she put all the things together to realize that he was a narcissist and end the relationship..even someone say that To X. is also about Tox*c relation

taeyeon did this song just because she said its hurt to see their fans waiting for her song. so she make it for her fans eventho she just finish her concert tour. i believe taeyeon really need some more time to give us her best music but because her fans demand her music she try to make it for us. shes really just wanna drop this song and then gone. no pressure no expectation just a new song with no pressure. if you know taeyeon you will understand her character.

내가볼때 이거 미국에서 소개되고 반응 폭발적으로 인기끌듯, 노래 진짜 좋아. 정국이 불렀으면 빌보드 1위갔을듯, 태연이 지금 활동하고 좀더 유명했으면 빌보드 무조건 1위 찍었다.

For me All for nothing is in another level. Honestly,i wasn't surprised by the rhythm of the song, it is just Taeyeon's style and the album doing very well in the kchart + after releasing something like invu album, I miss hearing this type of song and R&b and in winter.

Go back to Lee Hi's 'HSKT', Taeyon's 'What Do I Call You', and most of NewJeans' stuff, the current trend is to drop the listener into a chill groove and don't deviate much from it. Not everything has to wow the listern like they're a finalist on King Of Masked Singer.

I’m not disappointed of the song but I feel like it’s hard to love any song after a huge release like INVU😂 I wasn’t expecting anything tbh but I feel the same like you it’s a neutral song I don’t like it but I don’t hate it either. However after listening to the whole album I realized it just fits with winter season vibes.

I actually prefer Melt Away over this. That song is just so good, at least for me. But overall, all the songs in the album have such a chill vibes (after breaking up). It's really enjoyable to listen to.

There's times i feel like liking ballads, other times i feel like loving EDM songs, other i love hiphop, etc. This time i liked this song but i wasn't WOWed by it. Is like the new ENHYPEN song "sweet venom", it was just ok, but i left a little dissapointed.

Thank you for this reaction :) Tbh, I didn't like this song either. Seeing the concept, quite dark, I thought the music was going to be similar to "I Got Love", I don't know why this song specifically, but I was also expecting more. However, I really liked the MV, I found it beautiful. As for the album, I didn't find that there was a lot of variety, I found that it went in the same rhythm, but each of them gives a different feeling, that's what I found interesting while listening to it. Personally, I really liked "All For Nothing". But unfortunately, for the rest of the songs, I wasn't a big fan of any of them. I'm still happy that she released a new album because Taeyeon is one of my favorite artists, so even if I don't like some of her songs, I like listening to her voice. I don't know why, but when I don't like a song, I like to listen to it again and I like when I start to like it lol, it's weird. Like right now, I'm starting to slightly enjoy "Nightmare". I love Taeng but this isn't a very impactful title track. A nice song but feels more like a album filler song. Fabulous should have been the title track imo. It feels like What do I Call you Now but not quite as good
