I don't know if you know this, but irene practically raised Yeri. When they first met as trainees, irene was 20 and Yeri was 12. She took care of her, got her ready for school, she was really like a mom :)

@@zlk8739 No Irene joined in 2009 and yeri joined in 2010 if so technically if we are talking in Korean years Irene was 19 in 2009 and 20 years old in 2010 and Yeri who is 8 years younger than her joined when she was 12 in 2010

The members always say Irene doesn’t let people see her cry because she has too keep a strong image as a leader although she is a person who has a lot of tears. Last time we saw her on a emotional state on screen was after Wendy’s accident, the next day Irene was the mc of the show and Wendy was shown on screen talking about how excited she was about Psycho comeback. Irene was literally a mother of Yeri during trainee days (Yeri was a 10 yr old 5th grade student back then when she become a trainee).They both trained for 5 years so they grew each other along with Seulgi which is 7 years (Wendy and Joy trained for 2yrs before their debut. Irene wakes up early to prepare for her breakfast, iron her uniform and sent her to school. Regarding Yeri, Irene and Seulgi have known Yeri since she became a trainee in elementary school. When Yeri began living with the members, Irene would iron her uniform (and Joy's when she was still in school) every day and would wake up early specifically so she could make breakfast for her and send her off. Their relationship is super sweet.

Many people said Irene looks cold outside, but she isn't. She is just shy especially with stranger... She is beautiful inside and outside... She has warm hearted.... That's why I like her a lot...

Irene loves ironing and used to iron Yeri's school uniform all the time, she is fiercely protective of her girls and competitive with them. She is alot like Jeongyeon and Jihyo.

Her entire existence screams beautiful. She's an angel. She melts my heart. Thank you for giving time to know her and the entire Red Velvet. They are roup of talented and very kind-hearted ladies. ❤️
