I wonder why aaron doesn't get iu's lyrics. It's always so self explanatory. She's talking about how dark the world is full of evil & even though she has a blurry eyesight, she won't wear glasses to see the world better because there's nothing to see & she's already tired & busy enough to care about the nonsense in the world so she'll rather not wear those heavy glasses to see the world. She'll rather be deceived & be busy again instead

This is a song made by inspiration from the conversation with her mother. IU asked her mother, who had Lasik surgery, 'lt's good to see you now.' But my mother said, 'ln the old days, it looked a little blurry, so the world looked much prettier. But it's not as beautiful as thought because it's clearly visible.' After hearing that, IU thought that it might not be a good idea to look closely at everything, to know perfectly, and to look closely.

dont think that eng lyrics were on point I think the song is about her not knowing certain things. that can be someone's feeling or flaws, or her future(beyond rainbows) but even so, she doesn't want to (put on a glasses and) look further into them. she is already busy and tired enough. and finding out other's flaws or what they are thinking is not going to help her at all

I thought the same thing about how it kinda sounds like a Halloween song the first time I heard it too so you aren’t the only one who thought that. Also i get what you said at the end. It wasn’t something I hated but wasn’t something I loved either, but it’s definitely worth listening to a couple more times because it’s definitely grown on me so it might do the same for you :)

Aaron, why don't you react to Hotel Del Luna ost album ?? It'd be great I think. I get the same vibes from hotel del luna osts as I get from emotional IU songs

I think it can be that, for example you're in a relationship with someone which you think he/she is hiding sth from you or telling lies to you. But even by knowing it, you don't want to try to understand the reality(don't want to wear glasses to see things clearly) and you are just ok by being fooled by the person you've trusted or loved. Cause you think that if you understand the reality you'll get disappointed or sad and you'll lose your trust in people. I'm not sure but that's what I get
