@@raurarur you know, I always thought it was this: Scream - about bullying from the victims perspective. Boca - Bullying from the perspective of someone who wants to protect the victim. So based on that I thought that Odd Eye is about a bystander turning around eye to bullying. That's why they never find the utopia. The hate continues as no one does anything to stop the hate. But that's just me lol

in my own interpretation, looking at the MV: Scream - birth, it's barren, like a child who still has innocence (also because a child's first means of communication is screaming/ crying). Tree of Language: a child's first aim is to learn to communicate. Boca - growth, the vines, the rain, referring to one's stage of expanding (vines) ones knowledge (water). Lose Myself: Losing your identity, because of the influences that surrounds him/ her that is also mostly done in verbal manner either positively(encouragement) or negatively (discouragement). Odd Eye - adulthood, the "real" road that a person travels in his/her lifetime while aiming for their life's goals (which is an individual's Utopia).Road to Utopia: An uncertain future that may not be the one you were hoping for, hence the last message from the MV.

Theory of MV: This MV is about how the media (represented by TV, phone and computer) show us fake comfort (represented by a mask chair). As it was sung "Like a new world of hope, but it is an altered reality of despair." The media show us a lot of good things in life that make us believe in the existence of a Utopia and give us hope. Even when we open our eyes, we see something good in it. According to the lyrics, this is sadness illuminated by light. This is a perfect illusion that hides reality. They sing about the use of our odd eye, the secretly hidden eye with which we must see beyond illusion. "Because how complex this world is right now, things can be deceiving. A smile can be a believable lie, clouded by sweetness. Even hope itself can ultimately lead us to despair." We see Yoohyeon drinking what she thought was wine but was actually poison. We see Gahyeon reaching for the computer, but eventually lights up. They give us false hope, but they end up traumatized when faced with the harsh reality of this harsh world. We literally hurt ourselves like Handong holds her neck with her own hands. Let go of the remote (Siyeon) and stop looking for this fake utopia (Sua/Jiu are running away). In the last chorus, they tell us to close our eyes so that we are not deceived by the false light of the world. So at least we would rather be in darkness than pursue something that does not exist. Jiu closes her eyes and holds a luminous bouquet in her hands so that we realize that utopia is not something that we should be looking for, it is something that we should create ourselves. sorry for my bad English.

I think the message of the song is about being able to see through false hope to the reality that there is no magical utopia to be found, and that we have to make the world better by our hard work and kindness instead of hoping for it to all be solved for us. A magical utopia can't be FOUND, but it can be CREATED by us through hard work and kindness. We create it with our thoughts, words and most importantly actions of kindness/love and selfless giving/service.

Its basically done by 2 geniuses of composing. They are called LEEZ and Ollounder and those 2 are just amazing. Basically the whole Dreamcatcher discography (except a few songs) is made by them (and also a lot of Ateez songs too). We InSomnias really appreciate their work.

Also they composed/Arranged a song that featured RM from BTS. So it’s safe to say these are 2 actual geniuses of composing.

This is my first official comeback being an Insomnia, with the presence of Handong makes it even more special. They should get that first win this era or imma sue somebody

It's like in the storyline, scream is the past because of the presence of Greek columns and monoliths with ancient characters. Then Boca is situated in the present because of the urban street setting then odd eye is the future of the trilogy

I think the CG effect you're talking about at 18:02 was used a little bit in BOCA, around the masked man who was texting hate comments. Similar effect at least, a distortion that warps everything around it.

This song really took my wig away!! So did the bsides! Dreamcatcher didn't fail to impress me again!

The realization that this reaction is more than 30 minutes long 😂. If you noticed in 2:47 when the girls went into that formation, it’s actually supposed to represent an eye. The girls are the pupil while the other dancers represent the form of the eye. It took me a while to actually notice this!

The real utopia exists in your heart is very much like "the kingdom of God/heaven is within you". You can't find lasting peace and happiness from the outside world. Lasting joy and heaven/utopia is within one's own consciousness/being.

A theory i read: Scream: They find the tree in the past. Talks about bullying/cyber bullying. "hear no evil" Boca: The tree is in the present. The people have sealed mouths "speak no evil" Odd eye: The tree is in the future. "no more utopia" the text in the end said "the girls didn't find their utopia". Also "see no evil" (because of the odd eyes) They thought the tree was their utopia, but no matter if it is the past, the present or the future there are still bad people, which is what the text in the start of scream mentioned "one day the light did not come. people forgot how to say good things"

There seem to be so many references to the other two songs everywhere including some of the musical parts . Also the lyrics say to look closer and find the hidden truth behind odd eye. Some people found the code for a neutral grey color in the song that wasn't there in the teasers. That grey color when you look it up is the color the tree turns. And they have a matrix reference with the red cup.

I just realized this comeback is on January 26, 13 days after their debut anniversary, which is on January 13. Wow

They are using future technology to find utopia, to try to find out if their utopia can be built in the future! And they didnt find bc their perfect dream is impossible in this world! (well thats what i understood) This is literally W-O-W🤯🤯🤯 The music instruments, the video, the lyrics, the dance, the visuals, ect. IS BLOW MINDING!!! They are on another level! Theory: The place where Jiu is at (the fire part) is the Utopia, there are 3 planets behind her (like deja vu). Could it possibly mean that the kingdom/castle in deja vu WAS the utopia? And Jiu can’t see it because well, she’s blindfolded. So that scene where Jiu was in the fire it WAS the Utopia, after Yoohyeon betrayed Jiu it was the end of it causing evil into their utopia (which caused no more light to come). And the flowers Jiu was holding seemed kinda similar to the ones in Deja vu Another theory I have is abt Handong she said something like a shadow coming after her? Could be that mirror scene with handong her mirrored self? Or a shadow? Could that be what’s chasing her? i think the girls also have odd eyes? Siyeon's odd eye- 11:34 (her left eye is a darker blue) Jiu's odd eye- 11:38 (her left eye is glowing white) Handongs odd eye- 11:44 (her left eye is glowing silverish close to the color of Jiu's eye)

Both Scream and Boca had masks in them! For Boca, it was more of a dancing prop that they used in their choreo, in Boca, it was more like a symbolic item just for the music video. For Odd Eye, it seems like they only used the mask as the chair.
