Her last major part, where she goes into her lower tones, is one of my favorite parts of the song (and the whole song is very good). It basically "sets the tone" for the chilling, spooky theme of the song. Rami never fails to be super impressive.

This is definitely something already heard of, it doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s just the typical YG song 1. Girl crush concept 2. Strong verses leading up to a strong chorus 3. Relatively empty chorus (just repetition of sheesh) 4. Nonsense lyrics 5. Very strong rap 6. Bridge to chanted last chorus Batter up has the same exact structure and most of blackpink’s songs do too. In sheesh, their vocal colours stand out IMMENSELY. No other song in their album does this for them. It's amazing, the 3 rappers got to rap. Rami got to show off her vocals and ultimately, Chiquita's chilling voice (she sounds like minnie from gidle a bit).

I was sure you would still be of the mindset that this is some kind of vocal group, while it's clear that their concept has always been the same as the whole company - more hip hop with vocal "bridges"... like Blackpink, that's the winner YG's strategy, that's what they're aiming for now, that's what most BM fans expect, 70% of whom must be blinks. I don't know why you keep expecting something else and still be dissatisfied, when the problem is with you and your wrong expectations. Stuck In The Middle is what you think the whole album should be obviously, but the ratio will always be the other way around because the idea was always different. Heard a lot people say the word "full potential", personally I don't think it's possible as long it's a group song. For people looking for full potential, they will need to wait until they release solo in the future.

Ahyeons high note and rora and ramis vocals were my favorite parts I love all 7 members but it is tough to feel like your getting a lot when each member is limited to short spaced parts between them all. I remember YG saying he was gonna save rora for another group and make her a main vocalist and sometimes I wish that happened because I wanna hear more of her but then I think about how long it would take for YG to actually make that happen so.

The thing is with YG is that the same pattern for a song has been reused like I don't even know how many times, it's too much to count however maybe New Jeans has 1 or 2 songs that are similar and you are like "omg it's unfair". It's just a bad comparison.

i still think its a BOP and its preety good for a debut album,.and they will be better with time they will definitely conquer the music scene in the near future

i also watched the teasers. but i feel like i know what's coming but at the same time i dont know what's coming. there are a lot of elements in the song and MV that's still pleasantly surprised me. I think this is perfect. We got vocals, we got rap (the trio rapline omg??) , we got visual. one thing tho i do want them to showcase rora's singing more, but she SLAYS her part! this is a great debut imo. i'm so happy that ahyeon is back and they are 7 again now.

Stans in the comment section always blinded by the "YG SOUND". Well not everyone is hooked on the yg sound, and not everyone gonna like it. If you wanna see a reaction which goes "OH THAT WAS FIREE🔥🔥" then don't watch his reactions? For me, the only thing good in the song is their rap. Else its just a normal yg song, or a bside bp would do.

Definitely better than 'Batter Up', I think the girls shine better in this one! Nice to see Ahyeon too. They did great. I just personally can't get over the 'sheesh' part which is not my taste at all. It just sucks that YG wishes to shine more than make their group shine. Wanting to keep that ''YG signature'' is pretty selfish in my opinion. The lyrics are pretty meh (the rap mostly, ) but the delivery is nice of course. I mean ''Peek a, peek a boo, hoo, vroom, vroom, pump, pump, pop, click, clack, click' Like, come on YG. Words are a thing.

Yt reactors tends to pause alot during the first listen of the song, and I think that actually kills the build up of emotion which is the most important in connecting someone's feeling to the song. Pausing a lot in the 2nd listen seems more reasonable for me. Just an opinion, but overall, I still enjoy the reaction video.

Just a suggestion, can you react to music video without pausing for the first time react? Because it kills the hype momentum (probably even for you). Because we want to see that 'honest reaction' without pausing. And then you can replay the video and analyze it as usual.

This guy has a bias against YG entertainment and Teddy. It's really hard to impress him with a yg song. But he'll easily be in love with songs like, "Super Shy", "Mafia in the morning", NCT songs etc. Like come on, they also have the same repetitive choruses

favorite parts: opening rora and chiquita, trio rap, rami deep voice, tell a friend part not so favorite part: the ending (which is kind of similar to what they did in batter up)

I appreciate all songs from YGE’s artists and I believe that YGE would not want to completely remove that vibe from the songs that they are producing. I never listen to any other K-Pop artists unless they are from YGE (with the exception of IU of course) and that is because of their concept and vibe.

You know.. Blackpink's music producer was Teddy, who has the most YG vibe. He produced every single song of Blackpink. He produced for iKON, Bigbang, 2ne1 too... even YG tries to make Babymonster sounds different, but no matter how hard they try.. every single song that has YG vibe would be just Teddy's track wannabe. There is no R.tee, no Teddy on this track but somehow it sounded like teddy's track like.. 60% of it at least.

You wanted to hear their vocals right? But didn't see you appreciating where it was good. For example, in the bridge part, Rami's vocal technique was insane....did you even pay heed to that?

I don't know if people noticed in the rap part when Ahyeon's lines were "not 5 or 7 but 10 out of 10." That part made my jaw drop fr since YG said there were 5 group members and the final lineup is 7.

The problem with expectations is that they are usually not met and you end up dissatisfied. Expecting something different from the YG sound is being delusional, especially if you already know how faithful the agency is to its style and sounds. You may or may not like it, that's subjective and if you don't like it that doesn't mean it's bad. The song has a good balance between the vocal line and the rap line, they all shine, even those who have fewer lines. Something inevitable in a group of 7 members

i have different opinion here... Sheesh is their truly debut song with seven members and im completely agree that this song is far better than batter up... its different, its like melodic hip hop vibe which showcase members talent really well.. if im about to vote which song who can show their vocal, dance, rap, charisma, at the SAME TIME, then it will be this song.... its really hard to showcase member talent in a song, if you do too much, the song will not turn out really good, but SHEESH really nailed it... and with this album, the member already show us a lot... their vocal, their rap, their dance, for debut album is actually really great... each song have different vibe and different charm... they can showcase member talent in each song...
