Deathsquitos, Cazadors, same endgame superbosses. Doesn't matter if you have iron armour or power armour, they will mess you up worse than a dragon or a deathclaw.

Once you're in at least Wolf armor, Deathsquitos are more of a nuisance than a threat. In padded armor they barely do any damage anymore. Those starred javelin fulings though...

To be fair, I found the elder WAY harder than the plains boss. With fire resist wine, the plains boss is a joke. But it was kind of hard to deal with all of the other random enemies that kept showing up to the Elder.

I was kind of thinking this same thing. It sounded like Honest Games didn't like it but to me it's amazing and so much better than the other survival game crap out there. I expected them to praise it like everyone else is.

There's an easy way around this: Advance tactically rather than throwing caution to the wind. It's easy enough to build tiny spawn camps along the way.

Really like Valheim honestly, it feels better than most survival games.

*Finishes work unenthusiastically, only to logon to Valheim to vigorously and enthusiastically mine rocks for hours*

Missed opportunity: Stardew Valheim.

The EverQuest reference really hit a nerve, my wife and I had to make a four hour corpse run because I suggested we kill a wisp.

He ragged on the beginning the most because that's the easiest bit to make fun of. The most he could really make fun of in the endgame is making the "sailing for days" joke over and over. The start of the game has way more aspects of it to poke fun at.

in my first game the swamp where the bonemass was spawned very far away like 5k meters away on an island and of course i arrived at night as soon as i got down from the boat a grim reaper mob came down on me and 1 shot me....i was soooooo pissed and had to build another boat to retrieve my stuff (2nd tier boat as i had to cross the ocean)

Nothing is as brutal as the corpse runs in EverQuest.
