HONEST 2019 Audi A1 extended Review

I've had the chance to drive and review the 2019 Audi A1. I must say that I was overall very much impressed and positively surprised, altough I had some questions regarding certain features. Check out the full video!

Head rests are not for resting your head. They are to prevent injury in the case of a collision. They actually are not supposed to touch your head. They are to prevent your head from snapping back beyond 45 degrees. They must be set to where the middle of your head lines up with the middle of the pad other wise if it’s to low your head will go overtop. SAAB used to have active head rests the moved forward in the case of a rear collision. If you are still doubting me just wiki it, head rest were mandated in cars in the US in the 60s as safety devices.

I don't know where it costs 50k € but here in Germany you can buy the base Model for under 20k€ and with everything you desire but with the stock motor you would have to pay 30k€ I don't think these 100 hp more would cost you 20k€

Loved those colour co-ordinated interiors, especially in yellow. Can’t the seat head rests be adjusted. Nice video but very difficult to watch as you are constantly swooshing the camera around really quickly and it makes it nauseous to watch especially on large screens.

A bit late to the party, but I've just been to test drive one today and found it to be amazingly spacious. I'm 7'3 (221cm) with a 42" (107cm) inside leg, and I had enough space to get in and out without folding my legs like paper origami to do so (problem I have in my current car - a Suzuki Swift).

I had that Qi Charger in a rental car a couple of weeks ago, it is the biggest rubbish i have ever seen. The charging went good for about 2 minutes, then it asks me to get rid of everything else besides the phone, because it cannot charge the phone and stops charging the phone. Then it starts to charge the phone and stops after what felt like 10 seconds. and that cycle goes on and on and on. The worst thing is that every time it does that, it stops the music from the bluetooth connect. Useless system. Charging with a cable works way better.

Fun fact for those of you nay-sayers saying they're identical to the Seat/VW/Skoda. They're not. I attempted to test drive all 4 back to back today. The geometry on the respective interiors are substantially different enough that as a driver in the segment that Misha basically regarded as you'll be lucky to fit, IE over 2 metres tall - for which i'm considerably past (7'3" tall and 42" inside leg otherwise as 221cm and 107cm respectively), the Audi was the only one I could comfortably fit in. I once again flat out couldn't fit in the Skoda (budget bulky dash as per usual), was extremely uncomfortable to sit in the Seat and the VW for even a few minutes. Each car was trimmed at highest level, because that seems to be the done thing in the UK at the moment. Left Audi to last, as I was balking at the price difference, but for the amount of space available I'm personally deeming it worth it.

Hey Misha and all @ Apex. The 'Ring makes sense as a hub for online motoring. Imagine if Apex hosted a festival/meetup/collaboration of KZread car channels. You guys at apex would be the best people to organize, promote and host the other channels and their cars. Imagine you, MighryCarMods, Cleetus, Motor Trend, Cat Throttle, Engineering Explained, all together in a Nurburg Festival of Tubers. I'm not suggesting a hot-lap fest, you could set all sorts of stupid challenges, like blindfold auto testing, with team-mates shouting directions. Diana would make a great 'Race Director'.
