German cars when maintained well are actually very reliable. Our Audi A6 in the US has done 200k miles (3.2 lac KM) without issues.

@@AI12321 “maintained well” is where the problem comes in India, here in India I am ready to spend but the kind of service I get is bad, the roads are bad. Comparatively for 3.2 lac Kms you would have changed min 3 sets of suspension here which is not because of the car but because of the road. Japanese vehicles they are designed and made to last even on these bad roads that’s were they shine. Audi is an excellent vehicle but not made for Indian roads.

@@auxiliumjohn they don’t have the same ride and handling as the Europeans. Also suspension (unless air suspension) replacement is a relatively cheaper job. Only get it done outside Audi dealers for better value. Agree about bad service. Have to find the right technician. I don’t go to the dealer myself.

Currently, I am using the Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI with a manual transmission. I am getting a mileage of around 13 to 15 km/l in city driving conditions. On the open road, I get around 16 to 18 km/l. I have a soft driving style. The service cost for the Rapid 1.0 TSI (MT) is around 12 to 13k per service.

I recently bought honda city 2023 facelift V varient for 15lakh really worth for the price I got adas also in this model. I also test drove slavia 1 liter tsi I loved the performance better than city but features wise and budget wise slavia is costly so opted for city. So for a sedan lover with 15 lakh budget blindly go for city. Mainly easy tuning is much better

Bro, I have 2019 Honda Jazz CVT and once in 6 months service is recommended. Service calculator shows service cost less than Rs.5K per service but service centers has a target of above 10K i assume. Every time i go for service i get bill for more than 10K which is quite expensive. If this issue is fixed then i think Honda is much lesser in maintenance cost.

This is more of a fun conversation. You want only outright performance, 1.5 ltr engine of vw but you need wholesome package like perfomance due to vtec, efficiency, longevity, reliability due to naturally aspirated, then Honda's 1.5 ltr ivtec is the one for you. Also would like to mention Honda's first time dohc plus vtec - You will surprise virtus and slavia beyond 140 kmph. That crappy 1 ltr tsi stand no chance against very well proven 1.5 ivtec. City is weak in safety and powertrain comparing to skoda and vw groups. If budget allows to get 1.5 tsi I would rather prefer vw or Skoda if not just go and book honda city. Mental peace prevails!
