In this video, we will show you two of the most beautiful villages in the coat of Guipuzcoa: Hondarribia and Orio.
Hondarribia, because of its proximity to France, was always involved in wars and sieges. That's why it has that castle, the walls... a lot of history. Of course, plus food, nice people...
Orio is the typical fishing village in the Basque Country, and it has 2 amazing beaches!

Mi hermana vive en esa plaza de Guipúzcoa. Plaza con cadenas el hotel qué has nombrado era casa del obispo. Es precioso Hondarribia.

Gracias por Mostrarme Hondarribia. El año Pasado al volver a España intente pasarme por ahí y Justo me pilló que estaban en fiestas y finalmente decidí no parar ya que desde el coche se veía muchísima Gente . Volveré a hacer otra intentona. Pero al menos con vuestro vídeo me he quitado el mono de saber cómo era. Un saludo pareja.

@@texarkana3781 o sea que eres madrileño pero vives en California, correcto? Nosotros vivimos en Madrid, una ciudad perfecta para muchas cosas, especialmente para conocer el resto de España. A menos de 6 horas de coche puedes llegar a todas las regiones.
Un detalle, casa de color rojo la barca de pesca la pintan de rojo según el color de su casa, otras verdes, azules, etc.
Muchisimas gracias por sus videos con informacion muy util !. Solamente una cosa, el link de su pagina web de Hondarribia no me funciona.

@@cristinominguez3559 Si pasáis por Labastida, hay una pequeña fondita justo al lado de la muralla (no recuerdo el nombre) donde preparan unas chuletitas al sarmiento muy buenas...probar con el Rioja de la casa (en una jarra de barro)...inolvidable.

Hello you make such nice videos, I want to tell you about an important and beautiful place well worth a visit for a new video, Oñati (w. the oldest Basque university) in the heart of Euskal Herria and highest mountains Aizkorri-Aratz above w. the Basilika & Sanctuary of Arantzazu, it's an mazing place where I return every time I visit Pais Vasco, cheers from Kristian in Sweden :-)

@@Viajandoanuestroaire Hi yes I have your captions on, and yes this year is bizarre, trying to find flights from Sweden to Bilbao or Biarritz but there are no more direct flights as before, yet they say the corona is for real and that we should "keep distance" etc, why on earth do they plan it this stupid way w longer flights and change of flight on every route possible in Europe???

I have a theory that you can gauge a country from the first town you hit after a border-crossing; this introductory place being a kind of ‘hello, and welcome to our country.’ In the case of the Western Pyrenean France/Spain crossing what do we have? Well, strictly speaking, Irun on the Spanish side, Hendaye on the French. Now, all due respect to Hendaye, but the best thing about it is the road to the rather nice beach, for the town itself is a rather scruffy, woebegone border-post, in the way of scruffy, woebegone border-posts the world over. Irun, to be fair, is not much better, having been hammered in the Civil War, it has the look of a place where they built some apartment-blocky stuff, and forgot to add the fetching plazas or alluring paseos. However, in this corner of the world, Spain has a trump card to play. In Hondarribia, we have possibly the cutest l’il border town you ever did saw, if you don’t count Menton. Sure, the town-fathers have one eye on the tourist buck, and, if anything, the place is too prettified to be true, a kind of toy town fairytale place but this can be forgiven. Don’t miss it if you’re passing. Irun and Hendaye on the other hand can be given a guilt-free wide berth.

@@alexandergiraldotobon644 Hola Alex. Sitios para comer los quue quieras. También vimos varias tiendas de alquiler de bicis y scooters. No vimos nada de buceo por allí. No de escalada tampoco. En cualquier caso entra en www.visitlapalma.es y pide más información, son muy simpáticos. Un saludo.
