0:09 why didn't you just extrude the whole thing rather than 1 side and then duplicating and merging? you also make circles and use those as fillets for the indented areas of the part; any reason to do it that way?

its probably less of a hassle to make a centered hole on a flat surface then duplicate it rather than making it on the curved surface, as there is a plane that solidworks knows on the flat side

@@briancoyle9816 it's not. he's drawing on the right plane already; there's nothing stopping him from performing a both ways extruded cut from the right plane, using a converted entity of the profile of the extrusion for construction if need be. in the end it doesn't matter that much, he got the job done
