Ese modelito de África es inrompible, la mejor makina q puede aver, no tendra la tecnología de la África Nueva pero no deja de ser un gran fierro q se iso por años el 750 y dio muchas sactifacciones como makina, mi nombre es Xavier saludos desde ARGENTINA,,,,,,,,

is the black box at the top of the tank

I have the same bike and same question. The filter housing is in the top area of the tank, BUT the intake manifolds are on the BOTTOM of the filter housing, approximately at seat level. So unless there was some aftermarket equipment alike a snorkel installed, then IMHO it was sheer luck this bike did not get flooded.
