Howdy fellow Texan and vfr800 brotha! I just picked me up a 14 vfr800 last month. Was laid down by previous owner and is missing both side fairings. My question is do I need the airdamns to put the fairings? I don't know what pieces I need. OEM is really expensive so been buying used plastics off ebay. Any help would be very helpful. Pictures or a video of taking the fairings off and what's on the underside of them would be best. Thank you sir.

Worth getting for the fun factor alone...

Wow... I am so glad my 2021 MT-09 came stock with a quick shifter!

I would love to see more videos of the VFR been thinking of doing some work on mine and taking it to the track.

Of all of the bikes I want to get, a VFR is probably the next one I will actually get. I’d like a mid-2000’s with V-tech because I like the way the pipes tuck up and I’d like to get the OEM luggage. I almost bought a 2006 a month ago but I procrastinated and it was sold. I would have like to have seen follow up videos on the VFR. I’ve been primarily riding an updated first gen GSXR and I think the VFR is a good fit for more comfort but similar power, handling and weight.

Just as easy as mine to install, I went for the quick shifter over the Akrapovic..... bought the exaust anyway a couple of months later too.... The shifter works a treat 2nd to 6th and a bit clunky 1st to 2nd.

I basically have the same setup as you: OEM quickshifter and the SC Project exhaust. I still feel lack of power, so I ordered a Power Commander V. Let's see how it goes 🤞🏼

Cool to find the quickshifter video. Have you thought of doing a quickshifter install on a Pan America? I'm thinking on it fo my 2022 but considering knobby tires first.

The metal piping is the oil cooler line, not the coolant line.

The quick shifter on my vfr 800fi from 1999 works fantastic 😂..... My left hand and foot😅

It's quickshift up only. Not autoblip down

Today while looking for funky parts I saw a gear shifter and thought "mine looks like that?" to discover I have a quick shifter fitted to a bike I bought 10 days ago :P

Does this work on the rc 46 (no VTEC, but with fi) version work too?

Any idea where you purchased this quickshifter? I cant find one anywhere!!

Where did you get the sensor/shifter?

My friend just question is this gose both way in shifting or is it only 1 way which up shift only and then down shift we have to use the lever?

Showing my ignorance but what about a quick shifter is advantages to a stock shifter? You still have to shift I don't get it.

The base model in the states don’t have a center stand, abs, traction control, heater grips, or self canceling signals. Everywhere else in the world those all came standard.
